This is my most my complimented cold winter time fragrance, many females have said that's the best smell ever, they want to know what it is. Even my friends have said you smell like a rich man, it smells really good on you. Dry down is the best part of this fragrance, stunning powerful vanilla in the air, it gets peoples attention. Most people won't like the top notes, and they judge it to early! You should have let this dry down for 30min or so, then let them smell it, that's my opinion..... It's all about the dry down.

I am 18 (female) but I am absolutely in love with this scent! It is my most favorite scent so far along with a few others from TF Private Blend Collection and some other niche brands. Completely taken away by it for a while now and can’t wait to purchase it as I definitely would wear it myself. It might become my signature scent to be honest. Because of how much I love this, it puzzles me how people do not appreciate the beauty of it. It is so addictive! But then again people have different tastes. I have never been able to stand the popular, designer, mainstream perfume for both men and women. It all smell the same to me. Too boring, too typical and predictable. Some are bearable, I don’t like it but I can put up with it, but most of them smell too synthetic and chemical for me.

This scent is different and hard to understand but after 10 mins you begin to love the smell. Its like a warm cup of tea on a cold rainy day. its bad for random encounters but great for formal nights with wife or gf.

What is WRONG with these girls? This fragrance is stunning on both men & women. My partner and I wear it interchangeably all the time. Tom Ford parfum's are DIVINE. This is a fragrance to attract a classy sophisticated woman, not a club-bunny fashionista type.

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! It kind of warmed my heart when the girl was describing it as a "grandma" scent. I'm totally OBSESSED with mature scents. I remember being like 12yrs old and wanting to just drown myself in an old Guerlain perfume my great grandmother had 🤣 Yes, 12yrs old wanting to smell like an old lady. That was the beginning of my obsession with mature fragrances. I've always hated fruity perfumes. For some reason they just make me think of unconfident immaturity, if that makes sense. I like a mature fragrance that takes confidence and balls to wear 🤣🤣

If I like a fragrance, I use it. End. The opinion of others about it, whether female or not, is as important as that of garbage cans. By the way, compliments are unnecessary when you have a solid self-esteem - only my own compliments interest me.

Tobacco Vanille is my most complimented fragrance for the colder days. Projection and Sillage are beast and there is always something interesting happening during the wear. I had girls following me just to ask what is it. Maybe you should let it sit for a few minutes before letting them smell. It's divine.

That's the thing with tobacco fragrances that no one truly understands. The magic happens in the mids and dry downs. If you spray then smell, you may be repulsed by it. "The Dreamer" by Versace is similar in the sense that it's a tobacco scent that smells simply awful for the first 5-10mins but transforms into something absolutely divine.

I'm so so surprised that women are so negative with those niche fragrances, like tobacco vanille or oud... I absolutely adore it. I spray my home, my husband, my son and me with this one. Absolute work of art.

First time I tried it on me I said it was good. It was appealing. The second time, I fell in love. It was like milk powder, vanilla and a touch of wild smokiness. I wanted to bite myself! Edible. I love it so much. To all vanilla lovers out there: you must own this in your collection! 😉

Grey Vetiver is one of my favorite scents. It sort of straddles the line between upscale business man and something more youthful. I've gotten compliments with it in casual settings, but it really shines when you're moderately dressed up. Great work scent.

This is the first Tom Ford Private Line fragrance that I purchased. I got 15 mils from the Perfume Court here in the US for $80 and I have owned it for about 3 years now - this is a very special fragrance for special events and galas. I have used it about 6 times and you only need tops 3 sprays. It is luscious and royal- I love it but it is only for very special occasions. Go for a split for sure as a 50 mils can last you 3 lifetimes!

I am a woman and I smelled this on my co-worker and immediately complimented him on it! I’m going to buy a bottle for my boyfriend because it’s that good! It smells like a mature, rich, MAN (definitely not a boy) who likes to enjoy themself in a classy way. I absolutely adore it and would love to be physically close to a man wearing it. Just saying.

One of my personal favourites, i have a 2010 bottle which is stronger stuff, yeah it's not gonna get you tonnes of attention but the class it exudes is superb, i love wearing it around Christmas time

I have a 5ml sample of this. I've only worn it a few times because I'm never in a situation where I think 'I should be wearing TV, it would be perfect right now.' Oud Wood smells amazing but it too is one I rarely found situations where I would prefer to smell like that.

Took me a few tries with months apart to truly come to love this scent. I am amazed at how it changes, and how, depending on the weather, or perhaps even my own hormones, I can smell different aspects. Some days, it’s sweeter with a very distinct chocolate presence, other times, there is more cinnamon and almost ... plum? Not sure, but it’s gorgeous!!!!! I agree with you- you have to be confident and dress to match the scent. No sweats please 🙄

Hard to do objective reviews on these types of things that aren't really for the mass market.. But I am glad you are giving your own two cents on these.. These strong, unique type scents won't ever do that well on initial sprays.. but You wear one or two sprays of this and drys down and girls catch a whiff on you and you might be surprised that it can get compliments. I had a girl tell me that i smelled like homemade cookies once from this stuff and she loved it.

That's actually a pretty fair review, I'd go along with that.. it's not one I particularly like, all though I appreciate the quality.. it just actually reminds me of scented candles you get at Christmas time, mostly because of the sweet cinnamon. Funnily enough though this one is one of my sisters favourites, she loves to wear it herself

In my experience with the majority of Tom Ford private blend range is that they don't smell good straight away they have been to dry down on the skin for at least 10-20mins before you get the true smell. Maybe when I you do future Tom ford private blends then wear it for a while before getting the sexy ladies to comment. Peace :)

Niche is about the art of fragrance. I wear a niche fragrance to make a statement and when I wear something I enjoy. If I want some compliments I'll wear The One EDP, ADG Profumo, and so on. Keep up the great reviews my friend! love it

you instantly know when someone have no clue abt perfumes says something like "it smells girly..uh..grandma" ???!! REALLY!! LOL!!! and coming from a girl not even a guy lol..but to be kind of fair with that girl , u need at least 10 mins for the perfume then smell it, smelling it right away even after a min wont really tell u all abt it..i remember when i went with a friend of mine (girl) to a job interview and she smelled this scent on the manager of the place she was just hypnotised and couldnt stop thinking abt his fragrance, the man was like in his late fifties and kinda over weight but had class, when i smelled it too i was just so surprised of how good it is that we had to ask him abt its name!!... this is like one of tom fords greatest and best perfumes with tom ford noir, tom ford fucking fabulous too...

Tom Ford's private blend fragrances are not meant to please the masses. That line is for a fragrance connoisseur who's willing to pay for something that's exotic and unique. So don't be shocked if most people don't like it. TF's fragrance requires a certain taste. Personally I would rate it a 10 out of 10, and I'll be wearing it every winter for the rest of my life lol. If you have the cash go for it! I took a chance with this amazing fragrance and I never looked back ever since.

These are bubbly girls who are yet to develop elegant and sophisticated scent appreciation. Give them any scent from Brittany Spears and they'll absolutely LOVE it.

As a woman wearing TV, I've never smelled something sexier in a very classy manner, I'm really surprised at the reviews! Female fragrances like La vie est belle seem so sour to me, I loved TV at first sight!

Try Spicebomb Extreme. It's basically just the designer version of Tobacco Vanilla, but to my amazement it actually gets more compliments and performs just as well if not even better than it's Tom Ford counterpart.

It’s much better to be hated than be ignored. I like this fragrance. Girls either likes or hates it. It makes you stand out. If you are super handsome, I’ll say go with some safer ones. But if you are average looking, this fragrance will help you stand out. It’s very loud

I have never worn this in warm weather, always fall or winter. I received a compliment every time I wore it. But I do think that the compliments depend on how the individual carries themselves...

Best advice given, "test this first". I tried two different samples to make sure I did not have a fake because of my reaction to the scent. There are many tobacco scents I like better than this: Herrod, Tabac Rouge, Burberry London. To each his own.

I went 100 mls blind and i really like it. The price is a bit sharp kinda like a 30th of the cost is for name. Great review cheers.

If you want your chanel to grow up: 1. This is a unisex scent,I like it!

Definitely not worth the money, tried a test of this and it smells like Burnt Vanilla Essence. It has very strong vanilla notes, almost as if I had poured a drop of pure vanilla essence on my arm. Nice smell but not worth the price imo.

One thing I have noticed about the more expensive niche fragrances, they are too damn strong right out of the bottle. Aventus is a perfect example, it's smell is not that good right after application but the lady's love it after it has time to dry down and air out.

I can confirm the ladies' opinion about Tobacco Vanille. My female co-workers said it smells like a womens' fragrance and definitely overpowering. I'll finish my sample and remember not to buy it. It might be hugely appreciated in the so called "fragrance community", but at the end of the day we like stuff that smells nice and evokes positive feelings and memories. Tobacco Vanille is just not my cup of tea.

I work at Estée Lauder and get this for free in abundance and when I first got it I really thought it was a women’s perfume because it does not smell anything like a cologne. Smells great but I picture a 40 year old professional woman wearing it

Pretty sure their opinion would be different if they smelled it on your neck. If you actually wore it and if it was a cooler month. My fave from TF is Noir Extreme. Smells like pistachio ice cream with a little bit of spice. It does exactly what The One EDT does... but the scent is less popular. Give it a try.

My favorite fragrance and i have tried many over the years. I am amazed by the negative comments. It is out of production as far as i know but there are some still left for sale. I wonder if it is worth buying or do they go bad after some years?

Perhaps it would be wise to wear a spray or two and then test it out. With some fragrances less is more. My go to fragrance is Chanel Antaeus and I can't even wear that if I spray more than 4 sprays. You have to know exactly how many sprays to apply and where to apply them. I usually spray two sprays on my shirt ( chest area ), on my left wrist then I dab it with my right wrist and apply it behind my ears. That's how I usually spray cologne, and some last longer than others. I don't own Tobacco Vanille but I think I'll go out and give it a try. Thanks for the review!

My only criticism is I would have let them smell this after it died down. TV is almost too much at first and that granny thing comes down after a bit. Still I prefer tabac rouge for this type of scent.
