Some say he damaged the “ credibility “ of the TV industry, They’ve done that themselves over the past years. Their pretensions at serious journalism is breathtaking.

I applaud him. He spoke a lot of truths. And one being that the Logies really are a joke, and channel 9 hates the fact that he’s called it out... with humour lol

And here I was thinking Sunrise was worse than Channel 9. At least they don't silence comments on RU-vid. I loved the expression on Waleed Aly's face when Glesson was talking about manipulating the media. Never more ironic. And then Aly's faux offense afterwards on The Project. The Gold Logie has been farcical for years. At least Gleeson was honest about it.

He and Micallef are the only things on Australian tv worth watching

I thought I never liked Tom Gleeson but I watched Hard Quiz before the Logies and it was a great show,Didn't watch The Logies but caught Tom's opening and acceptance speech and he's a funny guy,well deversed win.

Peter Heller, Rove, Hamish & Andy, Dave Hughes are all smart arse's and simpley NOT funny but the industry promotes its self above the reality and its a boy's club; you don't have to be funny or good, just have friends .... and Carl Stefanovic is just a knob. Tom's cynicism and criticism of the inductry is well justified and well put.

I hope he wins the gold Logie next year as well, love this guy

The logies were pretty stale until Tom's acceptance speech happened. Wish we had more like him in the television industry. This was a well-deserved victory.

The first time I've sat & watched the Logies all the way through for a long time & only because of Tom Gleeson , , he was soo funny , all the other stuck-ups are just soo jealous , he's a comedian for Christ sake , liven up , he made it very interesting , loved it , cheers .

If only the "so called celebs" could act as well on the tv screens as their attempt at outrage to Toms win. The amount of fun and laughing at his campaign and speeches , you cant then say you were offended.

The Logies are a reminder of how culturally backwards and isolated Australia was before the 1980's. Every effort to appear relevant and _au courant_ has misfired. Also, it's good to see that Seven and Nine still take every opportunity to express their hatred for each other. It's their only worthwhile attribute. Both deserve the scorn they so unabashedly heap on each other, their credulous, drooling viewing audience still under the impression that it matters.

Glad Tom won the Logies regardless and great ABC 'cleaned up' as it was said.....they deserve the extra respect that these logies will give them regardless of Gov't funding etc! Hopefully they'll get some extra funding out of this that they so desperately need......their repeats drive me nut to be honest!
