Ahead of his time and incredibly versatile when he came to the NBA in 1992, Tom Gugliotta spent 8 seasons consistently progressing and becoming one of the top players in the league while being the top scorer on some young Minnesota Timberwolves teams that featured Kevin Garnett and Stephon Marbury. But then after being acquired by the Suns as one of the most coveted free agents of the 1998 NBA offseason, about a year later he'd be fighting for his life, and then recovering only to suffer a career altering injury months later. Although he came back from it, he was never the same player and unfortunately, Tom Gugliotta's near decade of exceptional play became more and more forgotten as the years went on, so today we're going to talk about Tom "Googs" Gugliotta.
