Welcome to Forgotten Player Profiles! FPP is a channel that looks at sports players who, for one reason or another, are not talked about as much as they should be. These could be great role players, players with short runs or exceptional players of their era, but who were overshadowed by the legends of their era. FPP will look at each player's career chronologically to give viewers an in depth knowledge of how their career's played out. FPP hopes for viewers to either learn something new or take a trip down memory lane. Hope you enjoy!

I have always wondered how this cavs team would have fared against the Bad boys had they beat the bulls. I may be mistaken but didn't they do well against the Pistons in the regular season? I know the postseason is a different animal and my gut says the Pistons still win in the end but the Cavs were fairly balanced. As a team they were actually better than the bulls. MJ was just on a mission to win that year.
I love Barry Sanders but Billy Sims has always been my favorite. He was lightening in a bottle. I remember when Detroit drafted Barry they was a few of us still hanging on to the optimism that Billy still might come back. How unreal would that backfield have been ? Lol
They didn't know how to use him when he arrived in the NBA. It does not fit into the standard. According to the same logic, they would keep Luka and Nicola on the bench.
The Lions never changed they were a 2nd tier team only because they don’t build around star offensive players. With no line they run off two great players, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and Cincinnati are all built this way.
While not something I like to brag about when it came to DC...I remember one time years ago when I was a kid... he was still one the 76ers & they were playing the Kings & Corliss Williamson cheap shotted Coleman, hit DC in the face & Coleman literally grabbed Williamson like he was nothing, tossed him into the announcers table & got a few punches in before Billy Owens, Olden Polynice & other players managed to stop Coleman...DC was certainly a guy that Williamson regret messing with for sure
If the Cavs would've still had Ricky Davis & checked his ego & also kept Dejuan Wagner when drafted LeBron & all three of the players could've worked together & became good teammates & maybe brothers as well & got the Cavs to the playoffs after LeBron second year in the NBA
His defense based on the advance stats looked terrible especially in the playoffs. I was wondering why he didnt do much as far as taking a team to the playoffs and why the spurs didnt try so hard to keep him because robinson was in a really bad situation as far as having good teammates. His stats looked good on offense but he wasnt as good as the number's say. Robinson should have saved him as a all time defender but he didnt
Marbury was super talented, and probably gets more hate than he deserved. But he didn’t elevate his teams success for all that individual talent. His failings at that, are a huge part of why Nash won two MVPs. Phoenix, 2004, Marbury, Amare, Marion, Joe Johnson, the whole crew. Granted, Marbury got traded halfway through the season to New York, but in that half season they only won a third of their games. Next year, Nash comes in, little roster change, same coach, they win 62 games. I’m glad Stephon found his success in China, and after listening to his melo pod, it sounds like he’s in a good place.
Decent facts, however, on the whole, this was a very bad take in saying him not getting hurt would've led necessarily, to them NOT drafting Barry... 9 seasons is the average "long career" at the position, Billy, with or without that injury, would've been their version of '85 Walter Payton by the time '89 rolled around.
I remember one year when there was trade rumors involving Scottie Pippen and Danny Manning. As a kid I wanted Manning at the time kind of hard to believe that now 30 years later.
Literally one of my favorite point guards of all time and ill always respect him for going out of his way to make sure his merch was affordable for every single kid no matter what class they were in
