Tyler H what does this even mean? That Larry thinks he’s the best thing to happen to MSU, or that you do? Either way, your comment exposes you as a complete dolt.
For anyone with any doubts (since it is hard to be sure about any public figure) Tom is the good guy you see. I was lucky enough to be married to a niece of one of his close friends and staffers. I have never imposed on that to meet him personally, though I was offered that once, but I trust the people I know and the things I have seen behind the scenes. Our coach is as good as it gets.
Ik I’m responding 5 years later than when u posted this. I get it. But understand that doesn’t win championships. I’ve met him multiple times being from EL and he’s great no doubt about it. but if there’s one thing he can’t do anymore, or in the last twenty three years, it’s win anything that matters. gotta hang it up in the next 3-4. Nobody doubts who he is as a man, it’s what he doesn’t do as a coach now.
@@wumpusbutt What he doesn't do as a coach? MAN are you spoiled! 8 Final Fours and a national championship? Not to mention another appearance in the championship. 99% of the schools in the country would kill for that level of success. Purdue is pretty good, wouldn't you say? They have more Big Ten titles than any other program, AND a winning record against every Big Ten Team. In their WHOLE history, they have been to two Final Fours, and one National Championship game - which they lost. In 29 years Bobby Knight won 3 Championships in a much less competitive era. Higher scholarship caps let big schools stockpile the best talent, and more important was the media landscape - unless you were a big school from a power conference, you did not get on TV, you did not get mentioned in national publications like Sports Illustrated. [Exception - Larry Bird and ISU - 1979]. There could never have been a Gonzaga back then. Or a Butler, that has sometimes made deep runs - good players with any hope of a pro career would take their chances with the big boys every time. Now a young superstar can be on ESPN even if he's playing for a small school.
Honestly, as a MSU fan, I put that loss to the side. Now, I’m focusing on 2017. We’re number 2 in the nation baby... Now that’s something to get hyped up about. But still, I came home from school to check if they made it or not, and of course, they lost😐 I guarantee a final four appearance this year. Wish them luck👍🙏🏼 GO SPARTY NATION!!!
@@teamenvii7956 sadly, march madness last few years have been atrocious for us :(. Partially its not our fault and it is the fault of the people who make the bracket. There is no excuse for not making msu a 2 or 1 seed last season. They should have had an easier path than they did.
The difference is Sparty was a two seed in this tournament and lost to a 15 seed. The bengals lose in the wild card round, we are never heavily favored
