Absolutely ASTOUNDING! @Joffre, thank you so much for posting this! With all our binge-watching this weekend, we somehow managed to miss the incomparable Tom Jones!
My sister worked at MGM in Las Vegas as a cashier for room service. She could hear Tom Jones sing but of course never be able to see him. One night after a really long shift, my sister was walking slowly towards the service elevators, and Tom was walking the other way. He stopped and turned around, offered her his arm and then walked her all the way to the elevator. He was so polite and such a gentleman, asked her how she was and if she enjoyed the show, small talk, wished her well, and waved as the doors closed….he didnt have to do that, but he did, and how decent and kind was that? She has seen many many famous people, but never anyone as nice and thoughtful as Tom Jones….tip of a hat to you, sir
This great artist still has the energy, the modesty and the generosity to give us his incredible "Delilah" as if it were the first time he sing it. Thank you Tom, you are eternal!
Knew one of the sound crew who worked on this. They said he was hands-down the ONLY person there who knew what they were doing. Said he rehearsed loads, ensured everyone was happy with the levels and got to know the crew all by name. They've worked with hundreds of stars, old and new and said that Tom is by FAR the most professional, talented, interesting and polite star they have ever worked with.
this guy is incredible. He still belts out the songs like he did when I watched him back in the late 60’s and early 70’s on some of the TV variety shows popular back then. What a talent.
Both Tom and Micheal Bolton blow me away with their powerful voices . Tom really showed us his beautiful powerful voice when he sang with Peter Donegan ( I'll Never Fall in Love Again ) .
Hello amazing 😻 fan Recently,I made up my mind to reach out to some of my fan here on RU-vid, this is something I’ve not really been doing but I just realized it’s a necessity and also amazing to reach out to my amazing fans here on RU-vid who has been showing me endless love and support all these years. I made out time to go through the comment section in my official RU-vid channel and also some of the channels created by my fans and I’ve seen a whole lot of fans who have been showering me with lots of love and support. I decided to create a more private account just to reach out to my dear fans due to the fact that my official accounts are being handled by my management. I couldn’t just scroll pass your beautiful comment without appreciating your support over the years. I must say it gladdens my heart to know I have fans like you.
In the 1990's I saw him many times in Atlantic city. It was a great time for me. He always gave a great show and I was always 5th row center or closer. The best stage performer I've ever seen. Add his great music and voice. He's the best.
Great to see an old star singing an old classic song and still being able to belt it out like he did years ago. If you've heard him sing on The Voice recently you know that he still has a great voice.
OMG he still has his chops; strong, vibrant, hitting every note. Fantastic. I remember laying on the carpet when I was a kid in front of the TV every week to watch show. That voice, it's so good to hear it again. Bravo
Great man, great voice, great clothes, great song, great band, great arrangement, great moment in time. Got nothing but love for Tom. And I’m an English bloke.
Tom Jones is the only pop singer with a voice so pure and powerful that he could challenge Elvis Presley. I’m glad they were friends and even performed several duos together.
Absolutely fantastic! The older the better!? Born 1940 and still having this incredible big and unique vocal. WOW! I like that also that Sir Tom is always smiling a little bit, he seems to be a truly positive human being.
tom jones is so famous in the philippines, this delilah piece is one the songa my father and his friends will usually sing when they gather and get drunk
Isn’t he nothing short of glorious . He’s like a fine wine that’s only gotten better with age ❤️❤️❤️is that even possible ? He’s always been awesome ❤️
Love, love, love this man since I was 21. I will be 70 in Feb. I only wish I had seen him live in concert. Say like Las Vegas. His voice and sexuality is beyond any other singer/entertainer. Plus he is still easy on the eyes. We're older but not dead. As I am a widow, would I love to meet him? What do you think? Hell yes!
I remember watching Tom Jones with my mom and grandmom and it was 1968 or so and it was on my grandma's new TV, it was summer night and we were so happy. There were women throwing their room keys and underwear on stage and my Italian grandom was saying Madonna Mia! But she loved Tom Jones and Johhny Cash ♡. Happy wonderful memories of laughter, live and music♡ Bravo Tom you sound and look great! Rock on!
First time I watched Tom Jones signing Delilah was in a TV Show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1968. I was 9 years old, this means, half a century ago.
Tom Jones, you are amazing. I love you, remember when you went to Venezuela I was a girl, but I loved seeing you sing very imposing and beautiful, you still are.
I saw Tom Jones in concert a few times in the 1980's and 90's and he can outsing and outperform all of the famous younger performers with all of their backup dancers and special effects! Sexy and what a great stage presence! A true legend.
I remember this song and all the words, and I'm seventy! Used to listen to it on an am radio making out in the back seat of a 1967 Chevy Impala! Kids today will never know that feeling, that rush of excitement in a car big enough for two young lovers to fall asleep in.
I must admit I am at odds do I even like this man TOM JONES well he was introduced to us by my father in the mid sixties and what an amazing introduction with songs such as The Green Green Grass of Home, That Funny Familiar Forgotten Feeling, He'll Have To Go. Some of the saddest music and lyrics sung and interpreted by the one called TOM JONES a living legend good onya TOM
That was a day. William Catherine &Harry singing Crocodile rock. Those the days when they were an exceptional team. The Duke wasn’t well that day taken to hospital. Rest in peace🌹you are greatly missed by your family & our country.🌹
