Yup! I have been a true fan since 1967 and I still am. I listen to Tom and Englebert Humperdinck every day! And seriously, they both still have strong singing voices! THAT, young ladies, is real and true talent. Both men, have been entertaining for over 50 years and are still very popular and successful!
Oh they wanted him al right. Threw their knickers at him on stage - wanted them. Once saw an interview with him, and when the interviewer asked him if he liked that, he claimed that no, he didn't. He preferred them to throw the key to their hotel room...

My mom was a HUGE Tom Jones fan & I've seen him in concert with her & her friend a few times. They would would sit & giggle like school girls! The last time we went I hollered out for his bow tie & he said I could have anything I wanted! Of course the crowd went crazy. I got the tie & a kiss. Still have the tie but lost my momma almost 4 years ago. Thank you for the great memory! 😊❤

My mother absolutely drooled over Tom Jones when I was a little girl, I didn't get it then, I sure get it now! I'm 65 years old now, he's a smooth operator! great being with you again today India!
We sang it when I first went to the Falkirk games some 47/48 years ago(but only sang it for a couple of seasons) and I always loved it,he's still some chanter btw.
Tom Jones is a legend and he gets better with time. It was awesome to see India reacting to his songs,her facial expressions without saying anything says it all, India you are truly beautiful and I like that you have a respect for tunes from the past.
@@katherinevaladez5227 : Yes Darling, I've heard him a couple times singing with his contestants, and he STILL, sounds BETTER, than any and ALL, of them COMBINED, even if these kids are a quarter his age! I was utterly, floored when I saw that for the first time. The strength, depth and richness in his voice is almost, unparalleled, and pretty much, as good today as when he was in his 20s, himself. Not saying much for the singers of today, but certainly, high praise for Tom. What will we do when all the Tom Jones of this world are gone, I wonder. That will be the day that music, true, good, quality, music will have died once and for all. Unless things change drastically from the way they are today. Be Well Darling. My Retro/Vintage Best. Out.

This voice was my childhood.... having a sister that was 12 years older, and one record player between us.... she won the fight most of the time..... but honestly glad she did, because I loved the music as well. I had the honor to hear Tom sing live in the late 1990's.... and he was still Welsh silk.
I grew up listening to Tom Jomes, my mom loved him. I still know the words to every song of his. You have no idea how HUGE he was in the '60s! I saw him at the Hollywood Bowl about 10 years ago and he was still phenomenal!

tom is magical when he sings - I met him in the 80's and he was charming and lovely and knew how to make women swoon - he stayed married to the same woman for decades but he had so many affairs you couldn't even count which he openly admits to -- so don't worry about him being hurt because of this song India! But that voice that swagger - everyone knew who Tom Jones was
I remember my ultra prim mama blurting out “I think he’s sexy!”! while our family was watching Tom Jones sing on TV in the mid-sixties, and from that moment on my Dad hated TOM Jones! He would say “he can’t even sing!” which we all knew was ridiculous, and Daddy was just plain jealous of sexy TOM Jones! Quite a shock to us about our “ancient” parents, who were 36 (Mama) & 40 (Daddy) at the time!

India... I am not sure how much you know about Tom, but he's still alive and well, and he's still a super star at about the age of 80. AND he's a coach on The Voice of UK, which is his home country. He's a British legend! And his voice is just as good today! He has aged like a fine wine!

Saw Tom Jones in concert in Washington DC few years back, he must've been in his seventies, my wife thought I was nuts when I told her Ive bought tickets. Women of all colors were going crazy. Three big DC cops doing security at the end were soaking with sweat just to try to keep them from climbing on the stage. The women threw so much underwear on the stage they had to bring out a suitcase to haul it of the stage.
You are so funny! 'Tom knows how to tell a story through the songs he sings, that is why I love watching him. His body language is so mesmerizing. 'There is no one else like 'Tom Jones. I used to watch his show back in the day, but I wished I could have seen him in person!!!
As I was growing up in the sixties, I thought Tom's music was for old people. Now I am an old person I am discovering his great voice again. This is one of his best IMHO

My goodness, you could tell by the way India was touching her hair and smirking she was in LOVE with this song and Tom. I saw Tom in Canada in concert and fell in love with my then boyfriend!!! (years ago but stands the test of time)
I`m an OG that graduated from HS in 1967..we grew up enjoying this music, but `I`m enjoying watching how you young folk are reacting to the music and recognizing the great music that my generation have enjoyed all these years.
Tom had one of the greatest set of pipes the world has ever heard. Power, emotion. One of the coolest dudes too. Ladies would throw their underwear at him and he'd wipe his brow between songs. The guy was a real force of nature and a tremendous talent.

I am so glad you discovered Tom Jones. I think he was one of the Greatest singers ever. I think his greatest gift was his ability to make us all feel the emotion of what he was singing.
