Where some were Elvis fans or Engelbert fans, although I loved them too, Tom Jones stood out like the brightest star in the universe for me. Always has, always will.

Tom Jones is my all time favorite performer. I was such a huge fan that I even developed this condition where I was so compelled to sing Delilah and Green Green Grass Of Home whenever I see a Tom Jones photo or video. So I told my doctor about it and asked if my condition is rare. He replied "It's Not Unusual" I said "Thank God!"

I'm growing old, even though most people think I'm in my upper 40s, today is my birthday, and I can't believe I'm saying this I'm 60, I spoke to Tom Jones one time, this is no joke it's a real story, I was working in a nightclub in New York City, when I was in my late twenties, well working at the nightclub the phone rang, and the person on the other line had a very thick UK accent, I said hello who is this he said it's Tom Jones, I thought it was someone trying to pull a fast one on me, so I cracked a joke I said yeah right if your Tom Jones then I'm Elvis Presley, it turned out my boss was next to me, he grabbed the phone from my hand he said that is Tom Jones he's a good friend of mine, I couldn't make this up even if I wanted to, true story
