Tom never gets the credit he deserves. Several throat surgeries and was told he'd never sing again. Plus he is very talented musician he can play multiple instruments
+ I think he wrote EVERY song, worked with a member of Led Zeppelin. On youtube, CMS Network spoke of Skid Row, said they had fewer hits than Cinderella & Ratt and would make at best White Lion money IF they brought back Sabastian Bach. Eddie Trunk said 80s heros must have huge radio hits to tour on. Whitesnake maybe doesn't even have more than 4 radio hits, same with Cinderella. I hope Tom gets paid super well. I Love Night Songs !
Yeah I like Tom I didn't know a whole lot about his personal life but I'll share as much as I can and I'll subscribe as much as I can to all this great '80s music and hair bands let's bring it back delicately without problems. We don't want a Total repeat but as much as we can without the violence of our police and war ✌️🤘.
So glad Tom overcame his vocal troubles and it makes me tear up knowing what he went thru to where he is now. That alone makes him a Rockstar but he already was and always will be. Thanks for the music Tom and thanks for not giving up when it looked like we would never hear it again from you later in life. Keep rocking brother.
Nobody keeps their youthful vocals forever. But tom is doing great. Just the fact that he's still out there performing is awesome. He went thru hell and came out on top. Me and my brother saw cinderella back in late 80s. My brothers gone now but the many bands we saw live were great. But seeing tom and a few others still going keeps the memories alive. Thanks guys. Your legends.
He looks and sounds fantastic. He’s a true artist. Writes lyrics, plays several instruments , has presence.. it’s TRUE tho! Repsect and love for that! Genuine.
This seals the deal. I'm getting my tickets for Sunday in Fort Myers right now. Thanks for posting. He sounds great and I never got to see Cinderella "in the day" so I'm pretty stoked to check this show out!
🖤🖤🖤 hopefully they will come to the Deep South soon so I can attend.. we don’t expect him to sound 19 years old again we’re just glad he’s still performing because he’s an absolutely brilliant artist!
I'm not sure if most people know how hard it is to sing on pitch every song live (most stuff is edited to death these days,or lipsycned)or without messing up( I will say he did fantastic here).Let alone be on tour putting the vocals thru this much use. It would be brutal with healthy vocal chords let alone after 9 surgerys ,vocal hemmorging and so on. I love this man then and now ❤️ keep rising Tom Keifer you are a shining star. Looking forward to a new cd 💿 if your putting one out I'm buying it.
Sounds so good live. Way better then Blackie and most 80s singers and I dont recall them having vocal surgery Hoping to catch him on Long Island in June.
obviously hes not as great a live singer as he was, but hes doing a really great job considering his past throat surgeries. but if you ask me, hes old, and hes probably forgotten half the lyrics to most of his songs, but he still rocks. true passion and musicianship.
5:15 intro to Night Songs - great voice for the song, but *Not* 'COMING HOME' the next track. EDIT: Tom needs to co-sing with a player on stage, he sings the falsetto part only, or retire the song until his voice returns. Not judging the human being since only his wife knows him with and without the 'mask' on. He might be a great guy or not. I care about the songs standing up, they need his voice to handle them. If a hit song can't be honored yet, retire it or adapt. The customers will go for beers - when a song like Coming Home is played and sounds poor vs the CD.
He was told he'd never sing again and granted hes not the same as in the 80s but you gotta respect his determination so I'll put up with him not sounding the same. This man gives his all at every show whether its 50 people or 50,000
@@wyldchyld2383 100% agree. A+ for effort, but he needs trade singing parts with an ASSIST Guy like a keyboardist or somesuch and he is 99%. As in Face the helper and make it that kind of a trade off visual. He can keep to the falsetto screams and he will play until he's 80+. It would be good to have his bass player around again, but that would cost a 20% split I bet ! Verses hire the young gun for $800 a show.
Dude is 61 yrs old and had paralysis of the vocal chords twice, multiple surgeries, one almost cost him his voice forever plus depression from it all. We are lucky he is still here let alone singing so sit down, enjoy it or stfu. Lets see yoj go through what he has before you judge him.
@@chrisramsey3603 You jumped to a conclusion in your mind, then typed in a rage. I never judged the HUMAN BEING .I compared pre-injured Tom to recovering Tom's voice. And I judged how one song of many, ONE song, failed the test & should be retired. Best to not play a song, before the CUSTOMERs start BEER TENT abandoning Tom during the song. Retire ONE song. Not asking Tom to slay dragons. Cinderella has 14 good songs PLUS. Let's hear something off Still Climbing. Who knew he was 61 - let's have him live to 100 - please the customers & maybe it happens. As of August 2022 WE'RE ALLOWED to judge voices, in comments. Ears tell us what sounds 'Off' - and we have before & after injury vocals to measure. We know what is up - better Tom adapts than lose fans at shows. He already has done the #1 cost cutting move he has done a HARD PASS on hiring all the other original guys - starting musicians and pros will take less from Tom, so Tom can earn much more per show. Business - singing songs poorly will lose him business and hurt the love of those few songs, too. + I want Tom to recover to SING 'Coming Home' well, not that I like the song. May he find all songs he cannot do. No 'hug boxes' on youtube. No one is going to "sit down + STFU" when it's fair criticism you are looking to silence. Maybe you are Tom's agent ?
Love Cinderella and Tom's playing but his voice is terrible. I know the surgeries he went through and I'm glad he's still making a living but c'mon. His vocals are not good.
