#HOG Enjoyed the reaction. This was my 1st Tom song... for those of us who have dealt with similar issues, this song def hit hard. While i hate to see Tom struggle and hear the pain bleed through the lyrics, it also is how a lot of us connected to his music in the beginning. So it's one of my favorites, but it's because I know how far he came. As dark as the video seems, watch the end closely, he always gives a glimpse of hope. Tom had a mental breakdown in 2016 he relapsed 8 months later and has been clean since. Then he gave up his late big vice cigarettes like a year or two ago. It's interesting in his song Who I am he says "I wanna be an artist with opinions, Picasso or da Vinci, With a sprinkle of politics and whiskey", he's always cared about the bigger picture and social issues so it is actually in his earlier music too just not in the same blunt in your face way if that makes sense. if you want a basic overview of Tom's past listen to SOBER, I DONT CARE or ANGELS. these tell his story. Now if you want bar heavy songs you could listen to (if you haven't already) DONT LOOK DOWN, NO RESPONSE, IM SORRY, I DONT CARE THIS HOUSE, THE WAY I AM EMINEM REMIX. If you want a more laid back flow with truth bombs EXPOSURE, HELLUVIT, POLITICALLY INCORRECT, GRAVESTONES. To understand Tom's beliefs and views THE MACHINE, SUPERMAN. and last just a heads up his song HANG ON deals with the topic of s**cide (idk if I can say that one here) and the visual def portrays that, it was when he was in that dark place, he was sober but having a hard time.
It's been a real adventure going through a lot of pre mental breakdown Tom and current Tom. It's been a great evolution and enjoy all phases of Tom and his evolution. ❤#HOG❤
