Tom McRae est malheureusement presque inconnu en France. Un très bon parolier, une très belle voix... "If songs could kill this one's for you"... Cette chanson est d'une beauté mais tellement aussi.
Welcome to the second reel Glad that you can make it We thought your fate was sealed It's not what we expected But you punch above your weight And you're stronger than you look And the ending's not the same They changed it from the book I'm the boy with the bubble gun I'm taking aim I cannot hit to hurt or cause you pain If words could kill I'd spell out your name It's time to kill the king It's written in the scripture See what tomorrow brings Got to get a bigger picture So forgive me forgive me for I am born To be what I must be and I must be The boy with the bubble gun I'm taking aim I cannot hit to hurt or cause you pain If words could kill I'd spell out your name I'm the boy with the bubble gun The boy with the bubble gun I'm the boy with the bubble gun With work to do If songs could kill This one's for you
Haha ... really? He is one of the finest lyric writers I know ... no, they are not happy-go-lucky lyrics but like American songwriter Gretchen Peters always says "Sad Songs Make Me Happy".
The only times I've ever heard his music get any kind of publicity is on Rescue Me, a couple of his songs get played in the first season. Other than that, I've never heard him publicly.
I'm the boy with the bubblegun, I'm taking aim, I cannot hit to hurt or cause you pain, If words could kill I'd spell out your name. D E L A L for you :)
@LilithTheAncient oooh i'm so sorry, it has to be 6-01-2011 ;s and it wasn't announced on the website or Tivoli, but Tom has sent a message to a friend of mine (twitter) there were only 250 places, so only diehards knew it. I was just very lucky I have a friend with connections (: But he's coming to Bruges, Belgium in April:
