The lack of sourcing is going to hurt the survey this month. Also, it is a pretty bad that a lot of officers still don't have sourcing (no, packs are not a means of sourcing) and speaks to the lack of planning and transparency from Scopely. They seem happy to introduce 3 officers a month but often times don't know how to give them out to the public. Also, ship fatigue is a thing too. We had 2 ships in 2 months. I'm going the F2P route with them where as with previous ships I was an early adopter. These ships have their own grind loops which is fine but we are back to where screen time is a serious issue again. Freebooters helped a little but recent additions basically negate this.
Nice to see more BDA officers not dedicated to pvp. Would be nice to see a BDA officer that increases warp range so you don't have to sacrifice bridge officers to put Ghrush in.
I think you're under-selling him a fair bit. He's Beverly Crusher below deck. He's not so much like Boimler because he's not doing a percentage of Base, he's doing a percentage of Defense. like the 'Base' Mirigation stats on a Valdore are like 5k Armor, 47k Shield Deflection, 2k Dodge so 85% of that is like 3k, 35k, 1.5k But 250% of Defense could be 300,000+ I did a test on a Valdore vs lvl 60 Freebooter Interceptors... With no mitigation officers of any kind, I'm Mitigating 26.88% With only Boimler (85% Base) for mitigation, I'm mitigating 27.28% With only Paris (250% Defense) for Mitigation I'm at 69.98% With only Beverly (300% Defense) for Mitigation I'm at 70.75% Both combined max me at 71.2% I think he's low key maybe an A+ That's with me fighting targets way above what that ship should be hitting too I think you've now got the ability to put him below decks and make a 3 officer team with no regard for mitigation, which is huge, you could now stack hull breach crews or throw in loot increasing crews like 5. Like Lorca-5-Khan And for Solo Armadas now, you can run a pure damage crew like Jadzia-Bashir-Lorca and you're covered on Mitigation fully below deck. I'm also thinking of those times people need to put in like Scotty-Scotty-Ghrush to reach somewhere for a mission, you can now have Mitigation loaded below deck, that's more niche, but it comes up a bit. I think it's great you're pointing out how to use him, but I actually think he's way way better than people are realizing yet.
Fully agree with this. I think his below deck ability is top tier, perhaps one of the best lower deck abilities we've gotten, for all the reasons you outlined
I really, really like, how the Voyager officers are super versatile options across the PvE spectrum. There's a bunch of places you can put them to improve existing setups, or crew additional ships, even things that you can do below decks now that would require an officer slot before, depending on how much juice you need to do a specific thing. A lot of ability for the Voyager crew to switch hit in a way that seems to really build on the last several arc's officer offerings.
Speaking of below decks officers, it would be nice if the Cerritos refinery paid out shards at a decent rate. I pull daily and 4-5 times a week I get none.
Can we please talk about how like about half of the officers in the game are unsourceable? Like Discovery is the last group of officers that are sourceable through the recruit tab and they have their own currency as well.
@@kevinwilliamson7158 ah, I guess I get that, but at the same time I wish they were just added to the entire pool of officers in the Epic, Rare, common chests. Like the Striketeam crews everyone’s talking about how useful they are and I only have one of the officers. It just seems like Scopley gatekeeping the officers.
@@timgross6915 they've been giving the snw strike team a lot of attention, the cards pop up once in a while but I haven't seen the explorer strike too much
@@timgross6915 increasing sourcing would be fine, but ultra pack is so saturated with officers now, it is tough to max officers unless you get lucky pulls now. They need another grouping for them for all to get.

Good video... Just not seeing how or when I'm going to get him or Janeway (currently at 82 Shards for her). I'm rn debating on whether to grab Kim or the 50 Voyager Shards in a few days. If it were Paris, I would definitely grab him over either because of his below deck abilities.

Yeah, this additional mitigation boost vs armadas is more useful then going against hostiles. Especially in doing solos. Agree that he's nice to have eventually but nothing special.
on my low level account new flash pass has tom paris just wondering if worth getting for below deck and there is an offer with SNW spock and tuvok is spock good on his own vs like swarms would the likes of SNW Spock and tlan work with tom paris below deck currently have next gen la forge and beverly lv20 with tlan
Without sourcing I don't care. As Scopley is doing things right now, about the time we unlock the officers they will come out with something that makes him useless to us. I will not get excited or care about any content that takes 6 months to a year to unlock. Heck Cath is unlocked for me but sourcing is terrible so it's still a useless officer to me. At current rate it always will be. I don't see Scopley changing it's way. New content is for spenders only now.
STFC is unplayable now for the casual player, more to do than anyone other than a full time gamer can do… time to find a pick up and put down game to replace it, shame as I’m a fairly high level player and have put way to much time in to the game… I play about 3 - 4 hours a day minimum and can only do half of what’s needed so it is ridiculous life suck…

Tired of new officers that benefit the whales. F2P continues to be cannon fodder.. i know they got to make their money, but at what cost to player enjoyment? Good job the people on the server are a community. Not much else going for it some days
