I'm a huge Michigan fan. I have been following JJ Mccarthy since he was in high-school. I had no doubt that he was going to get drafted in the 1st round. I was rooting for him to go to the vikings. I really thought that was the best fit for him and, to be honest, for the vikings. I have no doubt that the vikings are going to be competitive in 2024 but watch out in 2025. The team may lack in draft picks in 2025 but they have so much cap space.

I’m super happy to McCarthy instead of Maye. McCarthy is a winner at every level. He seems super mature and a great work ethic and was super excited to play for Vikings. Apparently every qb including Williams wanted to play in Minnesota according to him. I think he feels like he won the lottery 😂

Wanted JJ so bad. So happy we have him. Best play action/Cerebral QB I’ve seen in 10-20 years. Tua was an amazing play action qb coming out too

As a Viking homer, I am amazed that they are supposed to be at the bottom of the North next year. Funny considering they were on their way to winning the North after losing 4 games to fumbles and they lose Mr. Dependable and Detroit plays a decimated team twice to win the North and the Packers get it together. Best division maybe in the NFL next year.

Sean Peyton talked about how he was making fake calls to trade up which is why I think the Vikings traded to 10 for JJ which was still worth it!!! SKOL!!!!! Dallas Turner was the trade up icing on the cake especially for Flores!!!!!

Peyton is spouting nonsense to hide the fact they tried to get McCarthy and Nix was their fallback. Makes zero sense for them to trick the Vikings, an NFC team, into giving draft capital to a rival AFC team. Guy is a blowhard.

Pats would probably have traded if they were sure to get JJ at 11. Minnesota gambled a bit and kept their 23 (later 17) and still got their guy.

Jayden Daniels to me is the biggest question mark. The media has been pushing him like crazy, he could bust just as much as the other guys. JJ will probably flourish mainly because of Minny's weapons and coaching.

I heard about great deal on a used 2024 Ferrari Purosangue. I bought it, but unfortunately, the previous owner mistreated the vehicle and slammed it into a wall at a very high speed. It doesn't seem to perform as it was originally projected anymore. I could get it fixed, and maybe it would return to full potential, but it is hard to find someone with the patience or ability to do so. Moral of the story... never let the Jets touch a rookie QB.

So to analyze the efficiency of the Vikings journey from pick #42 to pick #17: this was achieved in two steps in a trade with the Texans, then a trade with Jacksonville. The end results are great, but adding up all the picks the Vikings gave up to do so, highlight for me the inefficiency of Kwesi’s trades. Vikings give up the 42nd pick, pick 167, pick 188 And their second, third and fourth round pick in 2025. Got back 232 pick 7th round. All this for pick #17. That being said, some of this occurred because the Vikings wanted to be in a position to trade for pick #3, from the Patriots. When this didn't happen, They got JJ, which was Great! However, they traded down to #17, and gave up a lot again. If this doesn't work out, there will be trouble in Minnesota, to say the least.

Kwesi also began this proccess a when he came in. We get a 2025 5th from the browns and a 2025 7th from the steelers if the conditions hit. Not much but it's at least two more than nothing. Kirk going down threw a wrench in his plan having to scramble for Dobbs but 2024 is the starting gun for Kwesi in my opinion. Next year we have a ton of cap space to go all in with hopefully JJ's first rookie season, 2025 is the all in with free agency and late rounders and still having our first. If JJ balls 2025 will be the moment for the Vikings to win it all or self destruct.

Shore up the interior O-line (Big, aggressive Center and a mean Guard (R or L)...then most of these top 10 QBs will succeed. I like JJ b/c he is intelligent...not just jock smart.

GM Joe Schoen, I think he'll regret not getting JJ McCarthy, my GMEN, to wear the 6th-pick. Mind you, the Giants need a lot of parts; trust me. Schoen has announced that this training camp will be a QB competition between Daniel Jones and DrewLock. Now riddle me this: are the Giants into Jones, or are they not.? If he doesn't stand up & ball, Shoen will make the classic mistake of not dealing with the QB equation. LetsGoGiants🤘🏼!

@@joshuat7171 If you were going to argue by authority choosing NFL players as your authority is a poor choice. Have you seen these athletes try to pick games or evaluate talent? They suck. The majority of JJ's career will be spent as a backup, predicts I. Look at the tape not just the highlights. He's not good. He's just on a good team. There is a difference.
