Thanks for this video. As a former Baptist seminarian who followed Bart Ehrman down the rabbit hole and right out the door, Hebrews 6 and 10 etc are very troubling to me in my guilt and shame despite knowing the arguments for assurance and security, the raw power of text is sharper than a 2 edge sword. I appreciate the video for its tone and lovingkindness.

I took the queen in psalm 45 as the picturing of the bride of christ, the church. Just a possibility in my mind.

The issue with the apostasy of Hebrews 6 is so specific to the Jewish Christian returning to Judaism and the ramifications of that process its hard to find a comparable equivalent for today. It’s so much more complex than just someone not believing any longer or falling away into sin and unbelief. Think of what must have been involved in a Jewish Christian returning to Judaism and the total renouncing of Christ as everything that He was as well as the complete rejecting to the indwelt Spirit to conclude both were not of God but rather of Satan. It would literally take Christ to be crucified again in order for these who fell in this manner to be restored which isn’t going to happen. It seems those who fall in this manner will not be forgiven in this age or the age to come.
