Every comedian experiences it and it's terrible. Tom Segura comes on The HoneyDew Podcast and tells Ryan Sickler about one of the worst times he's ever bombed on stage. www.yourmomshou... merchmethod.co... / yourmomshousepodcast
@theh1n1shot I went to winnipeg for this first time 5 years ago on a road trip. My buddy and I took a cab downtown to see what was up. First thing we saw when we got out of the cab was a dead cat on the side walk. That pretty much summed up the rest of the 4 hours we spent there before leaving.
would've been a great way to make it a highlight reel of gold if you are good at improvising...but maybe segura wanted to rely on material or something
As a native Winnipegger, I'll admit that we take pleasure in spreading misery to others who aren't from here. Why? If you lived in Winnipeg, you'd understand...
Thats EXACTLY how I deal with extreme situations, that night im like "whatever" then next day ill be staring in shower blankly, thinking about all the anxiety replaying that situation lol
some people are not bright enough to understand comedy. Unfortunately, all those people went to that club that night as a group on a trip from their institution/group home.
@@zacharyradford5552 there's no sacred cows, especially sacred cows. The second you Other something that way, to not include it because "it's not something that's funny" you're gone
@@zacharyradford5552 there’s no objective lines that can be crossed with comedy. There’s subjective lines obviously, but nobody has any right to tell someone else what is and what isn’t funny.
I saw Tom in Madison, WI a couple weeks ago. He totally sucks. I may have been uncontrollably laughing to the point of making brown in my pants the entire time, but that was just to make him feel better.
Tom forgot to mention the guy in the audience threatened to take him outside so Tom told him he was “outta here” and the manger let the guy who threatened Tom stay for the rest of the show, INCLUDING watching the black guy.
To be clear, I like the guy & think he's hilarious. The show I was talking about was a weird situation. I don't think anyone knew there was going to be an opener at all, let alone a comic. There was a lot of acid flowing that night. Since it was after the shooting, there was a weird vibe too. It was just a crazy situation all around.
Thanks so much for sharing this. It helps me feel better about times I've spoken and lost the audience. You are so damn polished and so funny, so if you can have bad luck it's gonna happen.
Man they need to master anything Sickler is in separately... That laugh is like nails on a chalkboard with headphones on... All: *Normal talking and laughs* Ryan Sickler: *In highest pitch falsetto possible* AAAAAHHHHHHhhhhhaahaaaaaaahhaha
As a Winnipeger I am getting a kick out of this clip. I went to Rumours a bunch of times, never paid admission once. Always free tickets to get you in there.,
Really try and put yourself in that position. Visualize the brutal embarrassment unfolding in front of you. It's all your fault. I think this is why I could never do stand up. Plus I'm not funny.
You should thank each and everyone of those people. Me and 9,234 other fans are now going to buy the limited edition "Bring back the black guy" Hoodie.
Well I guess Tom forgives the city since he was here in August, although the crowd who pulled that should not watch stand up. Actually saw Tom at a bar that I went to the night he was here, but I didn't know what to say to him. D'oh
