This is 1994, and I always thought Magnum was his peak as far as sex appeal, but I love him here! Plus he exhibits such integrity. Nothing is more attractive than a man talking about his daughter! We sure could use a man like him in politics today, but I would not wish that on Tom!
Cool, classy guy, Tom. In 1981, I was sort of attached to Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, but I'll tell ya, after all these years, hearing Tom was in the running for the role and seeing his audition with Sean Young as Marion, if not for his commitment to Magnum, he would've been good! He's got the physical characteristics that seem to perfectly fit Lucas's imagination for what Indy looks like and Tom's got a dark, brooding, contemplative character that would've perfectly fit both the college professor in a classroom and the daredevil, death-defying archeologist! Especially in the scene in Raiders when Harrison was mourning what he thought was Marion's death getting drunk, I'm saying to myself "Tom could've done that".
as a independent also, I think he may be wrong on having to have a strong party candidate for President. I think we need someone like him. Also I am not sure I trust Colin Powell, the Perfumed General, who has spent a life time being a military Politician .
