"Blue Bloods" is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Police Commissioner, and he heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father Henry during his stint as chief. As the Police Commissioner, Frank must balance his duties of running the largest police force in the world and being his kids' boss. I looked up the actor's and their families. Just about every actor and actress's on the show has been married to their spouses over a decade each couple. 2:12 yrs/ Tom and his wife 30+ years. I think it's a great testament to how different Hollywood has changed.

Love his humility and his grace in describing his craft, his roles, and the people he had the honor to act with. Good man and great actor...the reference to Quigley was spot on...good movie..(i even likes Mr Baseball by the way.) I am still trying to wrap my brain around why I watch reruns of Blue bloods 29+ times...just something about those Reagans.

I met him once when he was living in Hawaii and I was also there and one day I went to work on my bicycle like I did everyday and he was coming out of his house on Diamond Head road and l looked at him and just said .. Hi 👋 !!!! And he said Hi to me !! Nice guy .. very kind and sweet he was filming Magnum series in Waikiki and my apartment was right in the middle of all the action !!! Good old times ... l sure miss Hawaii !!!

I like him but I’m not seeing humility. I can’t count the times he said, “I’m very proud of it.” Once, “Actually I did a really good job. “ when people get a certain age, they say what they think. Not a bad thing, but didn’t come across as particularly humble.

@@evalehde3869 Nope. His humility is clearly evident as he describes the craft of acting, his various roles over the years, and those he's worked with (whom he refers to with reverence and respect). He has every right to feel pride in his impressive life-long career arc... but that pride has no effect on his humility. You seem to incorrectly feel pride in one's work = lack of humility. And that's your own agenda at work and has zero to do with this actor. Try watching this interview with both ears open. Humility is exactly the right word here.

Mr. Selleck is the icon for both Magnum and Blue Bloods. Magnum, P.I. was a smash hit and the first episode was Don't Eat The Snow In Hawaii in the original 2 hour pilot.

Blue Bloods is a wonderful family friendly show. I love the weekly family dinners. TOM thank you for your service and me being a Vietnam veteran and you spoke about how we were treated after coming home. The interview is horrible because of the host who is mundane..

oh mr. selleck what a fantastic interview! monte walsh, quigly etc. are my favorite modern day cowboy movies. so well done and memorable. and actually in blue bloods he carries the cowboy code. he has a way of phrasing lines that speak to the cowboy way. just love it! and also the whole cast poses a positive show. nowadays you don't see a character driven show, just like he said. and to think he knew louie lamor! anyway, he's a cowboy to me...

Could they have used an older interviewer that actually 'grew up' with Mr. Selleck and act more respectful then actually coming off as a bumbling idiot(looking like he is trying to save his own career) ? Mr. Selleck (Tom) is such a respected actor in ALL he has done, although he claims 'luck' or it's in his ' gene's '(like his Father), he TRULY has talant and has awesome work ethic. God bless him, praying he will always be happy with all the work he does(on tv & movies).🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖

The interviewer looks like he's at least 40 with noticeable gray hair, I'm in my late 30's and remember watching Magnum Pi re-runs on various networks growing up, so it's entirely possible that this interviewer knew of Magnum PI.

Sellecks treatment of Vietnam vets will be his legacy for me, though I am a HUGE fan of Blue Bloods. I'm of the Vietnam era, and the treatment of vets was one of the lowest points this country ever had. Jane Fonda will forever be a **** stain on history for her absolutely STUPID portrayal of men and women who thru NO fault of their own were part of a shameful episode in our history. All her public apologies mean squat, as the DRAFT placed most vets in the position they were in. She KNEW this, and went to N. Vietnam in support of a regime that killed and maimed 10s of 1000s of Americans. Anything for publicity. What a witch. Selleck is a hell of an actor, but an even better MAN.

I’m a big......fan of Magnum PI I have the series on CD This interviewer hasn’t done much research lol every question he asks Tom I know all the answers too 😳 Thank you Tom for doing Magnum PI Too bad Tom didn’t know it would take them so long to get things started you could’ve done Indiana Jones before he even started Magnum Tom would have been so great in it!!!!! I loved Tom in his movies ❤️

I want to hear how much longer the producers are going to try making Selleck look young enough to be Len Cariou’s son! They do their best, by making all the house dark when they are together, exaggerating Cairou’s white hair and gait. They dye Selleck’s mustache and give him a nifty Older-But-Still-Tapping-It wardrobe. I’m totally making this up, not having read this anywhere, but there has to be some reason to have that gorgeous house be dark all the time!!
