The first time I sat in one I was seventeen years old it was 1976. I remember opening the door as though it were a jewelry box. The door closed the same way with the distinctive little click of perfection. I remember the smell of the interior. The smell of leather, and there was a slight little smell of petrol, and a little scent of jute. I remember holding the steering wheel with my left hand and placing my right hand on the shifter. Looking over the gauges and imagining what it would be like to drive. Next to it was parked a 1972 365. I tried it on. The styling and the interior of the 275 was more appealing. I was givin my choice between the two cars by my wealthy girlfriend. She said "I'd like to buy you a car for your birthday." There was something in the way that she said it that made me say you "no thank you." Maybe it was the idea that I make a lousy house pet. There was something else. I wanted what the Ferrari stands for as a man. I don't think that's something somebody can give you. I wanted to achieve it on my own. I worked on Ferraris. I still dream of having one of my own. I still believe that the car represents a symbol of one's personal commitment to excellence. A Ferrari is more than a car. I want what a Ferrari represents. The young man's dreams, don't let someone take that from you. That's what makes a Ferrari so valuable. Someday..
My friend you totally get it, once Ferrari gets in your blood that’s it. It’s more than cars and racing it’s a way of life. I hope you own yours one day!
Such a knowledgeable and passionate chap. A very beautiful and significant car, a colour change to Verde Pino to come full circle and it would make a new owner very proud indeed.
Someone one also changed the original stock steel knock-off wheels that came stock on the 4 valve that where the better wheel. They were lighter and stronger and stayed in balance MUCH longer

starting to appreciate their design since I've seen one this year in St Moritz
What a fantastic colour to start with Verde Pinot (green). It may have been changed because green is typically associated with bad luck. And maybe one of the previous owners was a little superstitious. But overall what an absolutely fantastic car with great provenance.👌👍
George Harrison and Eric Clapton were very close. This concerned cars, guitars, women, and chocolate. That might be George Harrison's old car. Ask Eric Clapton. Eric has seven Roy Brizio street rods. Jeff Beck has three Brizio street rods. Clapton is a real car boy, and he likes to play foosball. Call David Catalini at Brizio street rods in South San Francisco. Ask him to ask Eric Clapton if that Ferrari is the same Ferrari that George Harrison had. David has had repeated conversations with Eric Clapton concerning the cars that Roy brizio built for Eric Clapton..David would probably feel comfortable calling Eric Clapton up and talking to him. I think I've heard this story before. You might want to check it out. That would make that car a serious part of rock memorabilia. Good luck.
Were the resprays on it total (or the engine bay, striped doors etc) or just the body and door shuts? Let's assume to return it to its original colour will require a full strip and rebuild Inc,engine and trans out. It is surely worth the circa £300'000 to do this,if not to add £300'000 to the asking price, but to give it back it's USP and ensure a good sale and useful contacts and possible new clients
If this would-be hustler "bryan" knew half as much as he pretends, he would know that (A) it can't possibly cost £300,000 to repaint any car, and (B) you don't need to pull the engine to do a colour change, as Ferrari engine-bays are satin black and not body colour..... This is what makes it so simple to do and why so many have colour changes throughout their life.
So interesting, thanks. These videos remind me of the 'Supercars I Have Known' stories in the short lived magazine Supercar Classics. I had every magazine and it was the first thing I read when I got them.
Very nice GTB4. I just don't quite follow the pride in 'getting the deal done' when apparently happy to sell the next week. You want to buy the car for years having previously got close, but if it sells on immediately then hey ho no sleep lost??
So how come lack of service history is no problem when you rave about it on other cars/videos? Not to mention wrong colour and steering on the wrong side (to the purist, classic italian car should be LHD).
Cute but slow, low pace : on roads with curves you're like with a cooper S. You're under a 70's Ford Escort RS 1600... On straights you're better. Serious heavy understeering competitor... that is if you're ever so strange to drive ur "investment" over 120 km/h.
This is must the epitome of style and then the presenter says it anyway they dont come any better than this maybe the muira the dino everything the Italians do whether its clothes dark haired olive skinned beauties shoes, there cities oozes style
Well - perhaps you could describe the interior as "noo" - alternatively, you could learn to speak basic English and describe it as "new" ? This vid is just some merchant hustling his wares and hoping to make a few tens of thousands by blathering on about it - never even drives it.... Similarly - don't bother watching the one with JayKay and some jack-the-lad wannabe money-grubber out in his 275 GTB together - first question is "How much is it worth ?", second question is "How much did you pay for it ?" - zip about the car. To see a 275 GTB owned by somebody who actually loves the thing, has owned it for decades, drives it instead of posing with it, and thoroughly deserves his good fortune - take a look at "Ferrari 275 GTB Skip Barber" instead.
Fabulous video. I love hearing your stories about your cars. I'm also impressed with your Ferrari knowledge. One of the best youtube channels out there 👍 Keep up the good work.
my dad bought two at the same time. Burgundy one with borranis the silver one with wheels like the green one here. he sold the Silver one. I drove the burgundy car once. We had some nice cars in the family and i had to detail all of them as a child slave. tomschnabel.com/2014/03/me-my-dad-and-cars/
Great video, i love hearing the history of these cars, perhaps it would be an idea to put the chassis number in the video title and description so your videos will be found by the next owners for many years to come.
Such a massive inspiration to all us car dealers. Honest, original and passionate- could anyone ask for anything more? Huge congratulations on the purchase. Massive role model 😃
