I just found this song, and I'm so happy I did. We lost my dad in January 2021. For some reason, this song helps me handle the loss I feel.

The first time I ever heard Tom Waits, it was this song, and I had no idea what to expect. I almost laughed at it. This is one of my all time favorite songs, if not in my top 5.

Tom Waits really feels sympathetic for when you're a few too many drinks deep, or you're missing the love that you lost, or you're just not feeling up to all you could be. Things might be rough, and maybe they don't feel like they'll get better, but put on some Tom Waits and you'll at least feel like you're understood.
