I remember when this aired and I’ve been trying to find it ever since. This performance is mind-blowing.

I absolutely love Tom and his stage presence.I have been into Tom since the early eighties and I can listen to him everyday.Only can say that about two artist,Tom and Nick Cave.I dig this song because I'm a gold miner in the North Country,one of the few women miners in the lower 48.This song has the story and elements of sin,heaven and hell.I like a good song that tells so much with only a few words.

This guy is a hero of mine, I love everything about him. Every era of the music. I like that I don't know what's real and even when he does "some acting".

He's so delightfully odd, and his music is amazing (I'm only just now getting into his stuff and boy am I having a blast :D)

He's 57 in this video and as powerful as in his younger days.

BTW I had a dream about Lucinda. She had black hair, and everyone knew that when she appeared, the wind would start up and time would stop and she would take you while time was frozen, so you would just disappear. And she came after me, and I worked with the government to try to stop her. Tom Waits inspired dream because I was listening to Orphans a lot at that time.

I had a dream about “Lucinda” back when I discovered Orphans in 08. She was a demon-witch. You knew she was coming because time would freeze. If you watched time freeze around you, you had a chance of escaping- but to the poor souls who froze before you- they would be gone. She could float- her hair was very black- spattered like tar in the frozen time- skin so pale you knew she wasn’t human. I tried to stop her myself- somehow ended up in a bunker in world war 2.

Tom is a blue and purple sircus in a world of transparent skyscrapers.
