I think this demo version is better than the album version. it's a more earthy feel, allows me to feel more connected to this song. Both are Gems though
Johnsburg Illinois,You can never hold back spring,Innocent when you dream,Broken Bicycles and this are the very masterpieces of Tom....and also some of the best songs ever written...
wow, I loved this song anyway... was looking to share it with my sweety. Been a Tom fan for decades, but never heard this. Thanks a lot, chummer. You made my day!
Hello! I am trying to make a short film using this song (the demo version, like the video) and I was wondering if you had any clue as to how I would acquire the rights to the song? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you so much! Lovely tune.
You're gonna have to contact Tom Waits' management. His label, Anti, has a guy in charge of licensing Waits music. On this page: www.anti.com/artists/tom-waits/ scroll down a little to contact info, and click Hector Martinez. Since this was a demo, Waits himself likely did not want it released. Please do not link this video. Do not alert them to the fact that this is online or it will get taken down and people will not be able to hear this beautiful song again. If you must tell them something, say that you acquired "Franks Wild Demos" from a friend as a gift. And on that disc is how you found that song.
