Same hit he did on Blias for the blues a few years. Except this one he lifts upward towards Carlos head. For the Blues hit he got 4 games just two years ago making this his 5th suspension in 250 games. He is lucky he didn’t get 20 again like he did for the Sundquist hit. Should have been a penalty as well here. Even player safety said so. Refs have been reviewed as well and warned.

Notice the refs on the ice didn't call anything... Later the same refs said to the caps they didn't think it was a penalty. They seen it live it was right in front of them and many of us seen it live. Wilson did not leave his feet, hit in the numbers, take more than 2 strides or make initial contact with the head. But unlike you, I don't think giving a person brain damage and injuring them for life is a hockey play and I don't think that trying to kill a person on the ice should be a part of the sport. I agree with big hits and being hard on the puck and blocking shots is as important as having incredibly skilled and talented players. I think sticking up for your team is an important part of the sport and fighting is still a part of the sport for a reason. That was none of those things. That was a player who needs to be suspended and warned that behaviour like that will not be tolerated and any further nonsense like that would result in an indefinite suspension. Head-hunting and head hits are not and should not be a part of the sport and that hit has been illegal since the rule of intent to injure existed.
