They did. This is also pre patch so some of the ceiling that you see in here is now gone, I was just going through the level for my secret video and they opened it up in a lot of places.
Yup. When the developers put it up there, they thought it was reachable. When testers discovered they couldn’t reach it, they left it there as a joke. That’s when Jason McAllister came along and discovered the glitch to get up there. I’m glad they left it in and even have an achievement to get to it.
This level took me 3hrs!!! My average time per level has been around 2hrs. I cannot move forward 20 steps without consulting a walkthrough. Cannot believe how difficult these original TR games are. I blast through the modern ones with a breeze, no help needed.
It’s really been great to see how different time periods of gamers have been with this game. One of the main reasons I started these walkthroughs was because a friend who had never played games back in the 90’s was like “Mrs H I do not know how to get through these levels.” He found it very challenging at first and not in a good way. Now that he is beginning to understand the grid system and controls better he is beginning to enjoy the challenges. For me, coming back to this has been like muscle memory however I can see where people more used to modern games will find these difficult. Give yourself some time and you’ll start to see where you will be getting through levels easier.
I think I understand why you didn't do the second room after the first one. In Palace Midas, there are 3 doors you have to go above aqueduct the one above the aqueduct and that takes the longest to get the lead bar so you probably did the two easy trials first.
Yes, it keeps you from backtracking so much if you do the other two first and then that one. Once you complete that one you can go straight to the garden without having to backtrack for the other two.
I'm very confused, how is anybody supposed to know in what order to pull the levers and which door will open, also how are you supposed to know what to do, because everything is so specific, the game doesn't even give you a hint.
@@LiamBester So above each door to be opened are five symbols. You’ll notice there are technically two Greek symbols: Y (Upsilon) and Ω (Omega). So with this in mind you would test out the five levers to see which one means up and which means down. So they do give hints they are just very vague, I remember figuring this out with no internet back in the day. Lol
@@TheHiaira wow, it's funny games I used to play back then, when games were actually challenging, I'm surprised I actually made any progress, I guess my brain became lazy over the years and I relied too much on constant hints and yellow paint lol
I'm sorry to hear that. It could be a recent problem with the newest update. Did you try going back and forth between new graphics and old graphics to see if maybe it was popping up on one?
