Today we’re taking a look at the historic buildings of Tombstone. We’ll see how they have changed thru the years…if they survived the fires! We’ll also check out some abandoned locations and get an exclusive look at parts of Tombstone that are rarely seen by tourists.

Great video. I visited Tombstone during Thanksgiving week last fall of 2023 and had a great time and I remember the buffalo burgers sign. I recently paid off my school loan, and now I want to come back and stay a few weeks at the hotel, hang out, have fun and relax.

I have to get back to visit Tombstone, it's been 50 years. Thanks for tour, it was great that you were granted special access. Seeing the inside of schieffelin hall was special. I believe Morgan Earp and Doc Holiday saw a show there the night Morgan was murdered.

Kudos to the Sheriff who gave you a guided tour! Last visited Tombstone in 1971 when I was 15. My dad took us on a tour of Arizona and he was an avid fan of Wyatt Earp. My teen self wasn't terribly impressed and the town certainly didn't look like what you filmed. I might go back someday and take another look!

Another historic building is St. Paul's Episcopal Church built in 1882. It is located at 55 N. St. It is the oldest Protestant church in Arizona. Wyatt Earp and friends donated money to help build the church.

If you ever want to film upstairs in Schieffelin Hall, let me know. The upstairs was built to be a Masonic Lodge in 1881 and is still used as as Lodge today. William Harwood was a Mason and helped start King Solomon #5 Territorial Lodge in Tombstone in June, 1881. Many of the furniture pieces upstairs are original and still used today. Virgil Earp, Johnny Behan and Milton Joyce all petitioned to join Masonry, but all 3 were denied. They have the original petitions in the Archives of the Lodge. Great video and keep it up!

I believe Gary’s wife’s family originally homesteaded that land. They created a series of ponds fed by Turkey Creek that are stocked with fish and it’s just breathtaking country! Their daughter Tobilynn Smith was a friend of mine and she passed away in August of 2022 and is buried in the family cemetery. Such an amazing family and beautiful slice of Heaven here in southern Arizona!

Outstanding video! I live near Tombstone, and have visited countless times. I've actually been inside Schieffelin Hall, but not nearly as far into it as this video took us. And I've never been inside the old City Hall / Marshal's Office. It was fascinating! One place you missed is Virgil's Corner. Virgil Earp's house burned down in the 1990s, and was rebuilt as a Bed & Breakfast. Another interesting place.

Interesting video, it is the second one of yours I've watched and I subscribed after the first one. I watched this one closely because I lived in Tombstone from 2000-2003. I have visited most of the places you showed us. And ate many a meal at the OK Cafe and drank more than a few beers in the Chrystal Palace. Of all the saloons in town, it was my favorite. I particularly enjoyed the old city hall tour. When I lived there the Marshalls office was in the back of the building in the old section. I would guess the main part of the building has been rebuilt since 2003. When I moved away all the streets in the historical district were paved. A movement had been started to put 'Hollywood dirt' on Allen Street. The last time I visited there in 2006 this had been done. But it looked much better in your videos than it did then. At the time I saw what they had put down it was in my humble opinion nasty. It was not very clean looking like it is in your video. Tombstone was an interesting place to live for a few years. I plan on visiting Arizona again and perhaps stopping by Crystal Place for a beer and the OK Cafe for lunch.

Scheifflen (?) Hall- That old wall paper, I suggest preserving as much of it as possible, then selling pieces of it publicly to raise money for the preservation of this and other historic buildings in town. I'm aware of some Air Museums that have done this with sections of aluminum from various historic aircraft undergoing restoration. They've been quite successful in many cases. EDIT Thank you to the Marshall for allowing the interior of the offices to be recorded!

You did a fantastic job collecting shots and pictures to give us a great visual experience. Sad to see so much damage from people through the years as you look at vacated buildings. I love the old history that so many can care less about, but to me it is birth, death, gun fights, cowboys, justice, community and so much more. The famous who past through and and the legend of tombstone and the OK corral, my favorite western story. Been to Glenwood springs CO Doc's resting place and still would love to visit Wyatt Earp's. Thank you so much for such a great tour of my favorite western in history.😊
