Tommy Chong for President!! He went to my High School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His picture was still on the wall in the class photos when I was still in school 20+ years ago. Tommy is my idol. Hell, I think I'll build a shrine :)

Therefore, we must abstain from anything that clouds the moral path.

Just saw him on a clip of yellow-beard (1983). He looks real different on that in comparison to what i know of him (and this). Of course people get older But i expected the younger version of the guy i know from "that seventies show" to be anything but him on the set of yellow beard. Although you can see it is him. I probably changed a lot too, not sure, started avoiding mirrors at some point (receiving hairline).

Tommy Chong is the man!!!! It's my first time watching a video of Tommy Chong, but I salute him for doing the right thing by pleading guilty for all the charges. I think he did the right thing and I would have taken all the charges too if I was in his shoes.

hey im 16 and woundered when i move to cali when im 18 can i get a weed card for insomnia? ive used weed ALOT but mostly for a stress reliever and its helped me sleep but i wounder can i get a card for it? (and yes i have records of me having sleeping problems)

It sounds like the least hypocritical argument a person could make. The answer is yes, marijuana prohibition is ok because I have suffered personally. Just like a mom who has lost her child at the hands of a drunk driver can say that drunk driving should be illegal. He was not even a jerk, just as you are probably not a jerk. And he was no where near abusive to anyone. He was a good man. Sounds like your parents don't approve. I wonder why.

Yeah, my dad had excuses, too. He fought hard for our country and he provided clothing, food and a roof for us. For all this, he wanted "immediate gratification". You need to learn this, THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING. You don't deserve anything. Nothing is free. I am certain that he started several people down the wrong path to drug addiction. I just thank the Lord that I was not one of them. I pray that one day you will understand this, smoking pot is DUMB! Be a man.

Usually when someone loses an argument, they resort to personal attacks. I don't know of which two sentences you are speaking but they must have hit home if you are angry about it. I'm not sure how much you have studied the bible but Jesus never endorsed slavery. Jesus said that we are all to be servants to the lord. He also said that in order to enter heaven that we are to be like children. All forms of faith and knowledge of God has been passed down by "organized" religion.

I notice how you have to use foul language to get your point across rather than make a solid argument. You rely on emotion to get your point across. That is sad. If your parents approve of your language, that's really disappointing. They must be in their 40's. I hope they will read this also and guide you. @ConnDevi88 Dude Michael Vick served 18 months, went bankrupt, and is required to participate in community service events speaking against dog fighting. I think he's paying his debt to society in that respect. I will agree with you, however, that Tommy Chong's conviction was a joke.

Because you are only 22 years old and you probably do not have kids, it might be hard for you to understand what I'm saying. I grew up in a home where my dad smoked pot every day. I'll just say this, pot is not harmless. So if you think that marijuana = no deaths, you are wrong. Marijuana = at least 1 death. What do your parents think of it? Do you have any respect for them. If my son smoked pot, it would break my heart, because I know what it does. You will understand one day.

That's not growing up, that's your attempt at being honest. You can be more honest by admitting that people get high because they are immature and want immediate gratification. They think they deserve it. Quit glorifying these grown men that need to grow up mentally and spiritually. Wasteful spending? I agree, somewhat, but I would rather spend it keeping drugs out of our country than helping people stay lazy, sitting at home smoking pot and playing video games.

You're right, it's not wrong because it's illegal. It is illegal because it is wrong. Abortion is wrong, it should be illiegal. Laws are reflective our morals in society. Without morals, we are animals. Slavery was wrong and it should have been illegal, now it is. It's really simple. Also, not every one is a drug addict. I agree with the cigarettes and alcohol, and they are both illegal for minors. Let's be logical, caffeine is nothing like pot, alcohol or nicotine.
