Check out the original. This is the hymn of power metal and one of the the big creaters of the genre. This was made in 1988 and the Singer of the band was Michael Kiske 19 years old.

Awesome cover, The first time I heard Helloween was at Donington Monsters of Rock 1988, Blew me away , Went straight out and bought Keeper of the seven keys pt 2 on vinyl which still get played regularly today
I was at that gig, shin deep in mud with the rain pouring down and Helloween were awesome. First band on if I recall. I think Keeper' was the first album I even bought on CD just after the gig. Lucky to avoid the carnage and sad outcome of the Guns and Roses set.
Hearing the original is like learning the ABC of power metal. This was back in 1988 on Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part 2. Part one was one year earlier. Just epic, you really should listen to it! 🤘
Michael Kiske was the singer for Helloween on this song, he has an amazing voice. Tommy did him proud. Please check out Helloween's version as well. We are so blessed that Tommy shares his many talents with us, thanks for doing Tommy Fridays :)
Seen lots of reaction to this song. And I agree Tommy is great musician and singer with great voice. But ... what I missing someone finally saying so Helloween created masterpiece over 30 years ago... when music was....
Helloween are generally considered the inventers of this style of metal, which came to be called power metal. You shoudl check out the original version as well. The original singer (Michael Kiske) is a regular guest with Avantasia. Tommy did a tribute to this song with his band Majestica called "Above the Sky", very similar to this song. A few of those band shots were form the music video. There's plenty of this kind of music out there to discover, so get used to busy guitars and drums.

You did a good job on this reaction! You should check out Dan Vasc's covers of Helloween, especially this one and I Want Out, the version he did with Tim Henson, son of Kai Henson. Dan introduced me to the music of Helloween, DragonForce, Sabaton, Blind Guardian, Beast in Black, Tommy, and many others and improved the ones I already knew. If he and Tommy ever did a song together, it would break the internet.

Mate, u r late to the party :) Wellcome to the magical world of Halloween. They’ve been one of the best power metal band of all time. They have too many excellent songs to count. You can start with Keepers of the seven keys:) you’ll be amazed with the masterpiece.

I also love the original but that's history now :) and i'm happy that the song still going forward and evolve in new versions :). The original singer who sang this for helloween had a voice of a god. This guys good but Michael kiske was the godfather. This song was made in like 86. The singer was 19 or 20. U should really check out helloween. - keeper of the 7 keys
