His friend was the younger brother to a band member in one of his first bands. They were childhood friends. Tommy is a multiinstrumentalist, singer, composer, and producer. He has earned his big money on tour with Sabaton, and he isn't interested in living the posh life in some celebrity place. So he came "home" to Boden, a town far up north in Sweden. He wanted his children to grow up there, close to his relatives, and now he's doing whatever he wants! He's testing doing covers of his favourite songs, he produces the videos himself, and they are art-pieces! He performs with his original band Majestica and does some collaborations with other artists. He's a very humble and charming guy, so I don't think he does this to get famous (a second time), I believe that he, as an artist, wanted to develop and expand! His youtube channel is actually interactive! He's not only putting out music videos, but he interacts with the audience. Oh, BTW, in Sweden, we often say that the tall, big guys, the Vikings, (which are in our ancestry), don't have the need to prove their strength all the time, they're actually very laid back! Tommy, with the angelic voice and the cute babyface, has got good belly support and belting ability, partially because he's over 6'5! He's a Gentle Giant! He was a music wonderchild and apparently he sang "Anthem" when he was 15 years old at a school concert! Anthem is a very difficult song written by Björn&Benny (former ABBA). Look at "Nu grönskar det i dalens famn", Tommy J. version, it's an old Swedish folksong, he's really having fun doing that one! I saw that somebody already explained this, but Nangiala is the "dreamland/afterlife" that Astrid Lindgren wrote about. She was a Swedish author, mostly famous for her books about "Pippi Longstocking"! 👍 PS! You have a very good reaction channel! ❤!

Thanks for doing this. It's a very beautiful version of one of my favourite songs. Christian was a longtime friend, who loved this song. Lost in the early days of Covid.His brother Calle was for several years an early member of Tommy's band ReinXeed, nowadays Majestica. Tommy formed that band already in his teens and it's still thriving after 20 years. Christian bequethed his handsome bass instrument to Tommy, which we can see everytime Tommy brings it out in a video. Nangiinjala is the fantasyland of after death in the childrens novel of Brothers Lionheart, written by Astrid Lindgren. The big brother comforts his younger brother they'll meet again in Nanginjala.

You must also listen to SHE'S GONE - STEELHEART (Cover by Tommy Johansson), here too he sings with such empathy that you think the song is about him. Great reaction! I’ve been following Tommy since 2011 and he has always put so much more ”feel” into his covers of his hero Gary Moore. Which was the one who inspired Tommy to start play the guitar. His cover of over the hills and far away is just brilliant!!

Nangijala is the afterlife in a childrens book called Bröderna Lejonhjärta (The Lionheart Brothers) by Astrid Lindgren (author of Pippi Longstocking, Ronja Robbers Daughter, Karlsson On The Roof etc). In the book the younger brother Karl "Skorpan" is sick from TB. The older brother Jonatan saves the younger brother's life in a house fire but is killed in the process. When Skorpan dies a couple of months later he is re-united with Jonatan in Nagijala (a place beyond the stars). But all is not well in Nangijala, a horrible ruler Tengil has, with the help of the dragon Katla, terrorised the people for a long time. In the fight for freedom the brothers join the resistance.The book then tells the story of the rebellion. The book is well known to kids in Sweden because it handles things like illness, death, betrayl, love, sacrife, suicide, tyrany and rebellion. All things that can be difficult to explain to kids. So almost all parents read this book to their kids for that reason. Since Sweden is a very secular country, Nangijala has become the placeholder name for the afterlife.

How can we get Tommy and Dan Vasc to do a song together. Guaranteed it would be epic.

What absolutely infuriates me is that the likes of Taylor Swift et al. receive fanatical hero worship and zillions of dollars/pounds for (let's be honest here) utter mediocrity. She and others of her ilk can sing, but so can thousands of working club cabaret singers, pub singers, karaoke singers etc. Tommy here, with the most amazing voice I have ever heard, plus the fact that he plays everything, produces everything, and yet is virtually unheard of in the mainstream, and thanks to our wonderful 'music media' will remain so.
