Thank God for the preservation of these performances, so that forever, Makem and Clancy, and the rest of GREATS of pure Irish song and poetry will live on forever!!!!
This is FANTASTIC! There isn’t one full concert of Makem and Clancy here…just clips of individual songs and for a few years I’ve been saying how is it even possible no one has a full uninterrupted show! I saw them three times in CT and have yearned to see a full show like this. This is such a gift! I met Liam and brother Tom by chance up at the Newport Folk Festival separately and you could NOT have met warmer, more gracious and authentic entertainers and I’ve met quite a few. I was just a little girl when I developed a mega crush on Liam that led to years of guitar lessons and a lifetime of playing all because of him. I can’t thank you enough for sharing!
So schoen, dass es immer noch alte Videos gibt. Ich kenne schon viele Melodien von den Beiden. Die Texte dauern etwas laenger, obwohl mein Englisch recht gut ist. Im Sommer fahre ich zum 4. mal in 30 Jahren nach Irland. Grosse Spannung und Vorfreude.
