Booing of Morrison was,to me, unjustfied.He fought a brilliant fight employing a stick and move tactic to a good advantage.Had he stuck his feet and traded punches with an old but still dangerous Foreman,Morrison would have lost on a knock-out.You may have noticed that after a brief exchange Morrison was visibly uncomfortable and backpedled.
George looked so slow and lackadaisical here. Morrison was out of gas and breathing hard by the third round yet Foreman just continued to casually follow Morrison around the ring and not press him. This fight was very weird. I know Foreman was 44, but he was a freak of nature, and he should have been able to press Morrison more than he did. George looked like he was half asleep or something.
Foreman was always tough as a brick wall and a fantastic puncher, but he could be outsmarted in the ring. It happened against Ali in '74 and against Tommy Morrison here. The Duke showed a lot of technique and endurance some people didn't think he had, and this was a great win for him.
Ali's performance was biblical. He took every shot George threw until George was wore out then Ali dropped him. I was alive during the actual fight and my dad, brothers and I all loved boxing - no one on Earth thought Ali had a chance - George just easily destroyed Frazier and Norton - two guys that took Ali the distance and beat him. Ali/Foreman - greatest single sporting event ever witnessed!
Morrison won the fight and anyone who thinks otherwise let's their personal bias affect their judgement. So fucking funny to listen to these sweet science fans get all pissed off because the lumbering hulk couldn't get Morrison to stand still. Morrison: Winner!
Morris won this fight no doubt. He had the gameplan, the discipline, the timing. Everything. George was just plodding and hoping for that big punch.Still it took everything Tommy had to win it.Testament to the power of George. Still, this was Tommys moment, not Georges. RIP Tommy thanks for the fights.
George were 20 years his senior. Tommy was younger, and only looked stronger but the old man gave his ass a run for his money. If old George was ten years younger, Tommy would've lost. Dude barely won against an old man. Also,I didn't see any low blows😂😂😂
Tommy Morrison was one of the greatest fighters I have ever seen in my life rest in peace Tommy if it wasn't for the drugs and alcohol and women he would have been a force to reckon with

it's amaizing how George Foreman stop the time!! Tommy was wery wery gooooooood no doubt but it was like a fight with grandfather but may like this Foreman still know what's up big respect for him and rip the machine gun !!

They were good friends too. That could have easily been a factor. Ive never seen a more respectful prefight hype than these guys had before the match. They were kicking it together in Disney World before the fight.

Foreman destroyed Frazier twice - once in the second round and once in the fifth round; destroyed Norton in second round (Norton would not fight him again either)
Whatever the "provision" in the game that Morrison likely utilized, but his walking away every now and then as if looking for a suitable spot on the ring where he would stand and fight, was cowardice. Not good sportsmanship. Neither was his leaning forward, as if to take a breather. And repeatedly. Not signs of a fighter who was greater than his punching power.
morrison had a terrible style why is he fighting like a short fighter he should have been a boxer puncher perfect height for it and had the talent. his trainer must have been a joke

And any fighter would box foreman because if the titanic hit Foreman it wouldnt knock him out and to top it off George still hits like a ton of bricks in cold weather !
