Why Was Force CANCELLED? | Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4

During the last few months, the news has been coming in thick and fast in regards to the Power Universe from Power Book 2 Ghost being cancelled, Power Book 4 Force being cancelled which is Tommy Egan's show to Raising Kanan being renewed for Season 5 and the new show which will be centered around a young Ghost and Tommy which will be 'Power Origins' .. But, with the latest news in regards to Force being cancelled and considering there might have been a little clue in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 4, with a small mention of Tommy, which isn't the first. In Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, there's been a number of references to Tommy and also Ghost, and I wonder, are they setting it up for Tommy to return in Power Ghost Season 4 at some point? So in this breakdown, I run through the news around Force being cancelled, but how Tommy could also be returning to the world of Ghost in New York in Power Book 2 Ghost at some point in Season 4.

50 cent parted ways with Starz in 2023 however they own rights to the show.. they canceled bc the shows get too expensive after several seasons which is why they're starting a new show..they've been parting ways for 2 years.. thats nothing new

Seems the audience for the show age limit has been getting younger. I do believe it hurting the franchise. If 50 move’s everything to his studio, we’ll be fine. (Starz can keep these current writers and 50 use Courtney’s from original Power). Tariq and Tommy teamup is great tv for the final season too lol.

I agree that the audience is getting younger. That is why Tariq's storyline could not hold me like the original Ghost. I am not into all these young love affairs. I do not want to see it. It also feels like Book 2 focused more on these romantic rendez vous. Eh, maybe I prefer to see Ghost's body.

It doesn’t make sense for Tommy to return to NY for good since he’s supposed to be “dead” there so I do think he may go to Cali. Maybe Tariq and Effie will somehow make it to Cali with Effie doing her thing at Stanford and Tariq and Tommy working together….just my 2 cents 😂😂😂

When they first announced these spinoffs,I said they would all tie back to the OG Power and you would then have an entire universe of characters instead of trying to introduce them on one show. Tommy can now go to Chicago and we already know Diamond and Jennard or if the Tejadas pop up,we know their back story. I think Ghost will return and the show will take on a new tone than it did originally.

Suppose they bring ghost back alive at the start of Power Origins, starting from right after he got shot, So they can show us how he survive and while he fighting for his life he goes in a coma for 4 years and while in his coma he thinking about everything that happened in his life and that's when they go back and show you how he came up ( Power Origins ) Then 4 years later he wake up and Then the new Spin-off with Tariq Starts And They Merge The Shows Together. At this Time Tariq Baby will be born and be like 1 going on 2, and then Ghost comes out his Coma and Try To Find His Family

I didn't know who it was but it was Ghost walking to the balcony they just blurred him out. Now I believe ghost knew someone was there and had help from the new black lady he was dating, stern, the dnc, one other character whom I can't think of. But if he comes back I'll watch. I haven't watched since he left the show. Really he may never had a problem. Maybe he needed to get the other movies 🎬 done so 50 amd writers wrote him out and been playing us all the whole time and will write him back in. 50 is smart but he's a liar and courtney is a liar, bitter, and somewhat predictable.

I think Tommy is so close to dominating Chicago. All he has to do is take out Miguels crew and then he controls all of the distribution in Chicago. He could put Diamond in charge of it and then expand CBI to another state? Just a theory. Seems weird for him to go to chicago build a massive empire, find family, and have a lover and then leave. I love that aspect of Tommy givin Riq that history lesson while showin him the street/ fighting side of the streets cuz he got the business side and hustle from Kanan, the finesse,swag,dialogue,look,ambition, attitude and let’s not forget his last name from ghost 👻. I highly doubt it. He’s already been to jail, none of these murders trace back to him, there’s no evidence that points to him doing it, and prosecutors im sure are done chasing St Patrick’s cuz they always lose. Tariq made a lot of mistakes but he never should’ve been locked up in the first place. If anything Monet or Cane are going to jail. It’s been very long and overdue for one of them.

I think for Tariq it’s a cool ending of this chapter, the Tejadas, I don’t think so. Many have overstayed their welcome without any sort of consequences and are due for major L’s they haven’t even taken yet. Cane will be on the run, Monet will get locked up, Dru will die, and Diana will probably survive.

Some of these ideas are crazy im hearing. Tommy and Tariq teaming up is just unrealistic. Tariq gets another spinoff? I dont see it.

It does make sense cuz that’s the only character I see a spin-off happening for from Ghost and who in Force is getting their own spinoff? I only see Tommy getting one. the Tejadas will be wiped out. Cane will likely either be locked up or on the run, Monet will definitely get locked up, Dru will die, and Diana, TBD. It makes sense to have another Tariq especially considering the character is still very young and it’s pointing that way. Carter will be dead. Davis, either he will die or his license will still be suspended.

@@jaycool9480 What’s the point of another Tariq spin-off when they could have given him another season? Should we watch another show about Tariq rising to the top? He goes to LA to find a connection and start building. They should’ve taken Book 2 to the Streets, the second season. Tariq has zero street cred and is always on the Fed's radar. It’s going to be the same thing in the new show. With a brand new cast, they could've killed off most of these characters in season 3 and introduced a new cast in seasons 4 and 5.

@@Welove441 Because the show was getting too expensive to produce. It didn't get cancelled for a lack of ratings because it's the networks highest rated show. Look at the amount of A-list names and talent alone. MJB, Method Man, Woody McClain, MRJ (Power OG), the Tate bros, Micheal Ealy, that's a lot of A list names and talent. Then networks make less money on shows that hit season 4 and beyond because they have to pay their A-list talent more and behind the camera personnel more money like the writers, directors, and producers. Consider this a salary reset with less A list names and talent. Like how OG Power was when they first started. There weren't any A list names on OG Power when they first started.

I just hope and prey Tariq finally makes it to the top of game and then get shot that would be so disappointing. And would ruin the hole story bc that shit is too predictable.. I just hope they got something totally unexpected for us they shouldn’t give us any trailers or nothing until September especially if they about to merge the shows. And I believe Brayden is a major death about to happen and will Tariq be the one to pull the trigger

With Tommys show ending...Tommy is going to be in future projects..Also I believe Tommy knows Ghost isn't dead. So will Tariq need Uncle Tommys help? Will Tommy need Tariqs help? Remember Tommy is supposed to be dead to New York..New York and Chicago haven't put it together yet???? Tariq is waaaay out of his league and Brayden is NOT Tommy, not even close... Still think Ghost is watching and put things in motion.

I remember last season in ghost tommy came back for a reason to kill Tasha. So in Force Season 3 a lot of things can happen like a war breaking out and Mireya possibly dying. When he talked to Tasha he had this look of concern on his face like he lost Mireya and a few soldiers in Chicago. Then when he talked to Tariq after stopping Monet it seemed like Tommy been through a lot in season 3 of force.

To cancel both shows, to then bring them back together w/o ghost is pointless. I’d watch it but still. It can’t be New York because technically both ghost and Tommy are suppose to be “dead”. Maybe taking it out to cali both would be able to be alive, Tariq would be able to learn the game from ghost, Effie would go to school and potentially I could see them bring in Diana into it somehow because of the baby. I hope something like that happens

Tasha is going to die. When Tommy finds out, bodies will drop SERIOUSLY! 2-Bit, and a few others will also link up to tie up loose ends. I can see in the last episode James saving Tommy, Tariq or Yas and James talking to Tommy and Tariq being nosey as always hears or catches a glimpse of him and Ghost will know he is easedropping and look at him and leave or something to that effect. Possibly at Tasha's funeral when Yas is taken into foster care.

Honestly how they handled Force a lil disappointing S1 was good underrated then S2 was good if it was a S1 they got rid of unnecessary storylines but also the way they laid the ground work for it was a lil messy now as for 2BIT I think he's done unfortunately they should've used him more especially last season and things been wried and his character since him and Courtney aren't doing whatever.

@@papaadot9369 the reason why ghost is getting “cancelled” is for cost cutting cuz it’s expensive AF to produce not because of low ratings cuz it’s the networks highest rated show. A lot of A list names and talent are in Ghost and their wardrobes are expensive. Treat this as a continuation for the main character with whole new set of main characters resetting the salaries. Cuz networks make less money on a show the longer it’s goes on. We’re headed towards a reset in Ghost and the wipe out of the Tejadas family.
