Anyone else notice his hands are NEVER in the air? No stupid hand hearts too! Instead, a talented and skilled DJ up there WORKING! Nothing preset, cut decisions on the fly, proper use of the effects equipment, no mic bullshit about his new track dropping, shit, even decent back spins that still sound proper on CDJs. So many DJs should be required to watch this man work and learn how its REALLY done! Legend of true skool DJs, rock on Dave!!!!!
indeed. i love the way some of his chopping sounds a bit messy. 99% of the sets i hear now are so flawlessly mixed they're either prerecorded or using the sync button. he's one of the few djs worth paying to see
Hoo god I really agree with you! I was in there when Dave was resident at Fuse at Belgium in the 90's and i must say he was a really good Dj at this time, but not in this shitty party and please listen this link its a recording from the good old years, we have every friday night the replay of Dj set from fuse on Radio 21: soundcloud.com/saricstephane/dave-clarke-fuse-1997-part-one Enjoy because it s rare ;)
+BoskoooVitch thank you! Fuse and Red Box sets were some of my faves, BUT.. Recently he announced no USA shows bc of politics. I understand but its more important now for the Baron to lay it down to underground! Very disappointed and no longer a fan.
I've been going to see Dave Clarke for over 15 years and this is one of the best sets I've heard. He looks fucking knackered as well, and is still able to release so much energy!
then you haven't seen much i'm afraid :-) check out the following : Umek Live at i love techno 2001 // Dave clarke live at I love techno 2001. Those 2 alone make this set or "party" to a baby daycare bday party.
Juste te dire que je kif ta façon d'être!Pépère en mode faites pas chier et merci d'envoyer du lourd comme toujours!!!Aquaregio!!!!I like you in the mix really!!
+Jon Wild I am certainly not against it, but it's in contrast with every other dj I know who smiles at the crowd at the very least or like me when I mix in my bedroom, I got no audience and I'm more enthusiastic. I did see him smile a bit but only when he's proud of what he just did.
@Proton1 Oof! We have the same taste I believe. I like truncate too obviously, comes close to ben. And I saw ben one time live along with ruskin, great set :)
Poor Dave Clarke deserves better than this playing to a crowd of disinterested muppets doing their "we must go to a dance festival and wear cowboy hats and sun glasses though it's dark and jiggle around a bit taking selfies and like it's the best thing eva like while cuddling their bored girlfriend." Total waste of great Techno. But I guess it pays the bills for Dave and his face said it all. If I had been there they would still be trying to find my body as I would have pounded it into the ground.
Ah man, maje make me rembember the good old of candy ravers, that crowed have no clue who Dave Clarke is, most of them were not even born when Dave was playing in the late 90's beginning 2000...
