Great ad for Tom Tom Will. Need to seriously look at one now as although we've been using Tom Tom sat navs since 2006, yes I'm a huge fan, in fact the 2006 one can still be used but a lot of roads aren't on there! Did buy a basic Tom Tom recently as I was truck hopping almost every week but it doesn't let you put in vehicle dimensions, so consequently have inadvertently been on a few weight limits in places I don't know! All the best Will say hi to Reg for me and have a great weekend.
I honestly can't recommend this model enough, and I'm not saying that because of a colab with tomtom but simply because I do recommend the product. I wouldn't agree to review anything I couldn't stand by on a personal level
I had this TomTom Go Expert worth £450, in few occasions it tried to take me through some country lanes with tight bends with clear signs saying "not suitable for HGVs" although I gave it all my dimensions 😏 I switched to Garmin and never looked back, amazing smart piece of kit
Not suitable doesn't mean you can't, just means not ideal. I'm in those kinds of roads daily. No reason why it wouldn't route you down them as its against no laws
@@bobjit252any of the Garmin Dezl series are a great bit of kit, the difference in the models is screen size but the functionality is the same more or less across all of the models. Lots of truck features and the routing is very good. Way more for your money compared with the tomtom go expert plus 👍🏻
Bought one 5 weeks ago. Kept crashing.tomtom customer services non existent. Argos replaced it no problems. Second unit still crashes but not so often. Have got money back and back to the old snooper truckmate pro.11 years old but and is a dinosaur at some things compared to the tomtom but it's never let me down
Hi, if a truck satnav does not have dimension input then it is not a truck satnav, that should be the bare minimum. At the end of the day, I don't see an improvement over Road Lords, which is FREE. I am not too keen on the flashing thing, it could distract you when you should be more alert on the road. RoadLords has 3 vehicle profiles.
Start SE1 5BA drive to SW17 0BW Trailer high double deck 16.1 shows way through Clapham rail bridge high 15.6 This is no only one mistake in London !!!
hello, I bought this navigation a week ago and I am really disappointed, I have always been a fan of this brand and I was wondering about Garmin or Tomtom and I regret that I bought Tomtom, the navigation freezes, a black screen appears and I can't do anything and it directs me to roads not intended for HGV If it weren't for common sense, I would be in serious trouble, my assessment is that the TomTom is broken, so I won't have the same qulity anymore, in my free time I'll take it to the store, add it and buy a Garmin.
I’ve been using Garmin Dezl 800 (had the 700 also) and absolutely love it but got tempted on the new tomtom go expert plus after seeing a few reviews - well having got one I was back using the Garmin in the second week. It’s a lot of money for something that will get you in serious trouble with some of the routes, the traffic hotspot connection drops constantly, the my drive app on my iPhone will not pair to the tomtom and I’ve tried everything. Will be sticking with the Garmin from now on.
@@ScottLaverPhotography I was using Garmin 1010 and after that ı tried Tomtom Go expert7 plus its good satnav buy whilr driving screen freezing and closing after 5 min coming back again ı went back to Garmin 810 … and closed live traffic if your live traffic open in your satnav it will take you narrow road to avoid traffic just turn off live traffic thats it…. Garmin is better quality than Tomtom update everyhink faster than Tomtom
Same issue, I gave up with it after 3 days of use due to randomly restarting or just randomly powering down (while connected to power I add) several times each day.
Same issues. I drive a tri axle coach an just needed a sat nav for traffic and diverts. Bought the Tom Tom expert. The gps hardly works . Keeps losing hotspot and Bluetooth so traffic doesn’t show up and it just freezes. Sent it back after 2 days
I have to say i have one of these and it was set for vehicle height width length Etc, and went to London and it froze and tried to send me around narrow roads and under low bridges, so not impressed
Had a go expert for about 4months... All those features could be added to mine with a software update, but guess what! THEY'RE NOT! Also, a 60quid Chinese 7" truck nav also has tacho hrs and breaks functionality too! TomTom is way over priced, and lacking features. Wish I hadn't have jumped in and bought mine!
These satnavs are junk never logons onto system for live traffic or services. Constantly needing to reset the unit. I seriously regret buying this satnav.
