Great video Mika. Definitely gotta try those picks out. I tend to use the same pick for quite a while and then fancy something different and start to look around. I do come back to the white Mr Fastfinger pick a lot (such a cool design), but I like a wooden one for rhythm playing sometimes and I like the carbon picks you can get. It would be really great if a Mr Fastfinger version of these new picks was available. With his raised profile etched into the pick where you grip it . That would be a brilliant collaboration.

Thanks! Great. I got some wooden picks around too, they do have a different feel. and tone too! You never know, maybe some deluxe Mr. Fastfinger pick will appear one day :D

🖐 It has a very smooth round attack! I used to be very addicted to the bityness of Nylon Jazz III XL. This smooth tone took me a while to get used to. Now I’m realizing various picks can definelty be a great way to enhance the tone. Especially when recording it can really shape tone and influence performance too.

That's very interesting! I will get some of these picks and will give them a go. I keep changing my picks lol after all these years I thought I would have a specific taste in what kind of a pick I want but I basically grab whatever is closer to me on the desk!

Haha! ”whatever is closest to you on the desk” that’s funny. There are picks are all around me here in my studio too but 99% of time they’ve been one and same 1.14 mm Mr. Fastfinger picks 😅

@@MikaFastfinger So the yellow and orange picks really give a good bite to the strings as does the green picks. But the yellow/orange is a little too thin for solid picking, great texture for chording though! The black picks are just like the Dunlop Jazz III's but larger and with a better attacking edge, it gives a more "smooth" feel to your picking! Now the green picks...well let's just say I like using both ends for different textures of sound! The price for the Command 6 pack was worth it!💯💯💯

I used a medium gauge picks forever. But recently started playing some straight jazz standards with a heavy gauge puck. I can't go back...but the difference is hugh with those lizard looking monsters you have there. It's brightet for sure . But do they break strings???

wow, cool! Definetly worth exploring different types of picks. Dramatic effect on performance and tone. I haven’t managed to break any strings with these yet!
