Tones on Tail's dramatic return to the stage with their first full live set in 40 years! Set list: Heartbreak Hotel OK, This Is the Pops Movement of Fear Happiness Lions Burning Skies Twist Performance Go! There's Only One
For those who have no idea who the hell this is, that's Danny Ash. Add Kevin Haskins on drums, and you get Tones on Tail. Add David J on bass and you get Love and Rockets. Add Peter Murphy on vocals and you have Bauhaus. That is a MF pedigree.
God I love Daniel Tones just blow love and rockets out of the water no disrespect to David J but my gosh Daniel ages like fine whiskey. I saw Daniel when the Pop tones played, please tour again and come back to Florida. Thank you for posting this it so takes me back to the 80's. I didn't realize the bass player was Kevins daughter keeping it in the family! Punk not dead.
I am so happy I saw Love and Rockets here last year and wish I could have seen this. I first heard Lions on my college radio station. I ran out and bought the EP. Such a dreamy song and takes me right back to 1984. Thank you for posting
Hi and thx for this video! I’m in France so i’m very glad to see that gig :) i dont think this band or Love and Rockets will come back here unfortunately..I saw Love and Rockets just one in France, it was in 1987 At le Bataclan. Unforgettable . Happy to hear all those titles that reminds me when I was a teenager 😊 and Dani’s voice is ❤
Thank you so much for sharing, I absolutely love this trio and Bauhaus with Peter and L&R! I kick myself for not checking if any incarnation of this band has showed up in Phoenix beyond the early 90’s!
I haven’t seen anywhere where the location of this show was? I’m sure I’ve overlooked it somewhere, apologies for my age being my excuse, lol I LOVE DANIEL ASH, woohoo!!!
This was from their glorious performance at the CRUEL WORLD festival. Pasadena, California. On the grounds behind the Rose Bowl. This was a last-minute addition to the festival. They were (rightly) given the co-headline slot (starting a bit after Duran Duran) on a separate stage.
