When Tonga beat Australia 2019 it changed the landscape of Rugbyleague. Tonga or any other tier 2 nation is never meant to beat the worldchamps. That was the beginning of the end. The core group of this Tongan team only got together 2017 and by end of 2019 they have managed to beat all 3 tier 1 nations... It's great for Rugbyleague but for the Million dollar sponsors and massive corporations involved? It's not so great for them.

If anything it's a conspiracy Tonga only became good because a ton of players developed in Kiwis and Kangaroos systems defected, and nothing else.
