Tongue Drum Music - Relaxing Music for Meditation, Handpan Music 

I noticed the guy has a cable attached to it. Can it be electronically connected to speakers perhaps?

@@Domzdream You can definitely modify these drums or use a pickup system made by a company called Idiopan that has magnets integrated to attach them to all kinds of metal surfaces. You can just connect an audio cable to it and amplify or record the sound but these Nataraj drums don't come with built in pickups as far as I know.

@@Domzdream The cable might be for a microphone. Meinl makes one that can be put inside it.

I was looking at some and they sound very metallic. Are you happy with yours? What brand is it if I may ask?

@@Mimi-sf5sq mine is an amahi I think. Same brand as the ukulele brand. Mine is great.

@@Mimi-sf5sq the nataraj are top of the line you definately get what you pay for when it comes to these Hapi is a good brand also and meil sonics are dope aswell

The cool thing about these drums - you can tune them to many different scales by attaching magnets underneath these metal tongues. This only works with drums that have a wide enough opening to reach inside like this one on the bottom (I have the same model). The added weight of the magnet will lower the tone, you can fine tune by sliding the magnet anywhere you want to find the right pitch. This makes these drums far more flexible than hang drums and they're a lot less expensive (although the sound character is also not quite the same of course...).

It hurts you because it sounds so good. Just like a rebirth, each time.
