sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
Its sad people always seem to forget about nikos galis. only player in euroleague history to average above 30 ppg (37ppg in 1987). Galis was a scoring beast. drazen petrovic once said this about him: "If I'm the Devil's son, then Galis is the Devil himself."
i agree totally..he is euro best player of all time he did what no one else did before or after him in euro bb...to win 3 chips in a row...3rd time was without anyone....its like bulls won chip in 99 when all good players left and also phil jackosn left...thats what he did in euro bb..and he deserves to be in a hall of fame
yes in modern era,but best european player off all time is first non american player drafted for NBA ,and not once but 2 times in early 70 ' ,and not by any team but drafted for Lakers and for Boston Celtics . He' s name is Kresimir Cosic ,man before he's time
And he is from my hometown, Split. Toni is a legend and always will be. I remember when i had to wake up in 3-4 AM in the morning to be able to watch the games live. Priceless times for me, so many sweet memories. Thank you Toni.
It's a travesty Kukoc's Number 7 is not yet retired by the Bulls after finally getting inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame so many years after his retirement. He was the extra spark plug that propelled Chicago's 2nd Championship Three-peat run. Deserves a lot more recognition.
@Ulysses432 You don’t know much about basketball if that’s your opinion of Toni. I had the pleasure to watch him play for Benetton and his talent was spectacular. He played the role he did with the Bulls because he was a TEAM first guy. You should check out his complete resume. This man absolutely should be in the HOF.
Toni Kukoc :Best European All around player of all time and winner in any level from juniors to NBA. Drazen Petrovic:The most self motivated and hard worker ever. great shooter great scorer great leadership a true legend for Croatia. Nick Galis : The ultimate offensive player for more than 15 years. Great passing ability also. He treated like a God till now. Arvydas Sabonis: The most Dominate Center every play in Europe and from technical and strenght ability one of TOP 10 of all time. There are also to many great players but those 4 are considered LEGENDS for my generation. No Question that Dirk , Tony, and Pau are at the same level maybe even better ... but the emotions goew with those guys
youcan name there also Stojko Vrankovic great blocker and Dino Radja ,both play in Boston , Dino with great statistics .Also one of grat European players who finish he's carrier too young and was a NBA calibar ,as little bit ounger then these ,but also on that 92 ' Croatian squad and played great in Olymiacos and Kinder Bolonga .He is Arijan Komazec
Yes my friend ... i can name a lot of players. All those are great no doubt about that ... but i m talking about legends here. Especially from the ex Yugoslavia i can remember at least 50 top players. Yuri Zdovc, Sasha Djorjevic, Zoran Savic, Pedrag Danilovic, Zarko Paspalj etc etc ....
yes i know for all that players .But to be honest Radja is one of first european player that was one of key players for he's team.In 1995/96 he's 3 rd season he was averageing 19.8 ppg 9.8 rpg in 35 min,and was a starter .Even i liked Kukoc more Dino put bigger numbers because he was playing in Boston that as bad at time,an Toni played with best team in NBA . It is too bad that americans didn't see Kukoc playing offensively in he's prime like he was playing in europe , because he could average 20-25 ppg and 10 assist ,and lot off beautiful moves ,passes ,but he's natural position was small wing (even he is 207 cm ) ,but Bulls put some weight on him so he can pla at power forward ,but then he lost some of he's explosivenes and fantastic skills .Too bad .hen i watch now what european players come to nba and get chance to play ,at that time european superstars and super talented players could be happy if they get 15-.20 min in some NBA team .And other players were skiping them with passing the ball .
Radja put this numbers because he played in a bad team ..... he was great anyway.. But he was never cosidered the best center in Europe. I remind you the names of Rick Smitch and Detlef Schrempf that they have bigger impact in their teams for many years. Even Divac has bigger role to his teams. Numbers does not tell the truth always ... and it last for a very sort period for Radja.
+Jay Jay in the time machine Some have suggested as good as Toni Kucok was in the NBA he should have been better. Factors of playing behind Jordan and Pippen, and not being able to play predominately point-foward were theorized why he never became a franchise player. Kucok never really flourished in 1999 when Pippen and Jordan left, but to be fair that team was gutted and had no talent.
no it didn't change pipen openly hated kukoc all the way until 97 98 season then he said.." even the guys I don't like to much at the end we find a way to play togheter"..in Barcelona 92 pipen said toni do not belong in nba , MJ said he will be very good in nba
Danielle Calsder My man Toni sacrificed A HUGE CAREER IMO to play sixth man to the second 3 peat. The guy more than held his own as a go to guy with Pip when MJ left and he got BETTER every year. Now, to the poster above, the jealousy was there for sure with those 3. And it got worse when Toni came in making more money than both. Pip was very salty until the start of the 2nd run.
On MJ's return, had the Bulls mgt succeeded in despatching Pippen out, Tony would have been MJ's right man. In fairness, Tony has more accurate passing and perimeter shots than Pippen. Tony has better mental strength than Pippen during toughest pressure of the game: the dying seconds.
llen Star Two of my favorite players ever. Period. But I kind of agree with you on this except I think in the NBA, they were pretty equal assist men. Other than that, I would have LOVED to have seen Toni as MJ's #2 guy. Dude was legit.
@DAVIDZ195 As a Bulls fan from Chicago I disagree about MJ doing it all. He had Pippen the ultimate swingman, Rodman the best rebounder, Kerr the most efficient three point shooter, Longley the era's best Australian player, Kukoc the league's most versatile player and Croatia's living best, Wennington a Canadian Hall of Famer and Olympian, etc. and also championship veterans (Salley, Edwards, Parish). That team was STACKED with Jordan as the top piece it's no wonder they got 72 wins.
toni is best euro player of all time...if we go with what all players are sayin...WINNING COUNTS...he is 3 time nba champ 6th man of the year frist time one euro player got it *detlef shrempf is not euro player he was schooled in usa* 3 time uero champ ..3rd time on his own won all the way with bounch of rooks and new coach..its like mike stayed with bulls in 98 99 season and won it without scottie and phil...that's whats toni is a BUS DRIVER not a guy who sits in the back to get a ride
Lawrence Cruz he had way better career than Yao Ming. He had Gold and silvers from World Cups, Europian Championships and Olympic games so your argument is lame. That Yugoslavia team invent run n gun and it was a reason why first Dream Team happened. How many Rings and golden medals have Yao Ming? And Toni was best sixth player too.
@@maasinsuppliers2827 hahaha like lebron fans said lebron can win a ring without wade and bosh and allen but they had irving and love pls stop acting that pippen or kukoc carrt mj to win there 2nd 3peat bcoz those 2 play cant even out score mj in series
While the duo of Jordan and Pippen is the best ever, at times it seemed like Kukoc was the second scoring option in the clutch moments behind MJ. Pippen did it on defense more.
Kukoc won jack shit without Jordan !!???!!! My friend, Kukoc won 2 Olympic medals, 2 FIBA world championships, 2 European Championships and multiple European titles + 3 NBA titles. Even untill today no European player achieved what he achieved so he deserves a bit more respect don't you think so ! BTW he arrived in America being already 26 years old. If he would have started in NBA like Nowitzki or Pau Gasol at his 20 years, God knows how many more he would have won and achieved !!
Tony was the real leader but wasn't American. His contract was much lighter than MJ's or Pippen's and that's why he was sitting on the bench. He was tall as a center but had body coordination of a play maker.
I read in another video in the comments a comment from an American that Toni Kukoc had a better contract (more money) than Pippen, Pippen did not like Kukoc because of that!
@@dragodrazenovic1064 Kukoc made more money than Pippen during this time but Pip signed a bad contract years prior. However, this didn't instigate any bad feelings between Kukoc and Pippen. In fact Kukoc claimed Pippen was the first Bull to welcome him to the team. Pippen was always infuriated at management, asking for a raise but always turned down.
I was born and raisedin Chicago Illinois and i was there for all 6 championship's it was really something to see Tony kukoc come to the Chicago bulls after getting beat up during his first time in America playing against the Chicago bulls and for him to embrace that and become a real member of that team not just somebody warming the bench but somebody who really meant something to that team was amazing to watch the average person would have broke down from the pressure but not him he took that challenge and for him to rise to the occasion and make them respect him and his game was truly something to see and he hit shots to win the game on a few occasions so congratulations to the man I give him all the propers in the world because if you ever get a chance go watch that game they didn't let him make a point Michael Jordan and Scottie pippen shut him down in every sense of the word it was sad to see it being done that way in hindsight anyway because in real time I was happy to see it but thinking back on it it was kind of wrong
Toni Kukoc is definitely the most underrated european in history to play in the NBA.This happens to be the fact primarily due to the media, NBA officials and the fact that he was genuinely modest and selfless guy, a real team player who once at the beginning of his career while playing in his homeland of Croatia,in Split, said the legendary statement : "Between an ordinary point and a great assist(pass) I will always choose a great assist, that's what I prefer." That says a lot about him....KING!
1995-96 Chicago Bulls best team in history NBA won 87 from 100 including playoffs. Not possible without Toni .Toni great player best european player in his time after petrovic went to NBA.
Best player in basketball history, best small forward, best rebounder and one of the best ever European players all in one team... Can't get much better than that! :D
I was a big Toni Kukoc fan...this is how I see it. If he was with any other team he could have been an 18-22PPG guy, 5ass and 5-8rebs. The only reason that didnt happen is because he was the third option in Chicago. They had arguably the 2 best players in the league and the best rebounder/defender. You could really see how he changed teams like Milwaukee and Atlanta, pretty good career, almost 10,000 points of the bench, three tittles. I say he deserves a spot in the HOF but its not happening
See here's how I look at it.... They had him playing not only mostly off the bench but also the wrong role. He would have at least those stats just not playing off the bench. But... If they actually played him in the role they had him in Europe like luka doncic in Dallas and was the ball handler he would have imo been MVP many years and an all time great. They seriously screwed his potential in Chicago. Not only that but they had him add weight to support his role as a forward to be a better defender ...or at least one in his Chicago role. He was much better lighter on his feet.
Dont know about you over the big sea, but here in Croatia the Bulls where the synonym for a basketball team. Maybe becouse our Toni played for the CB, maybe becouse his airness MJ played there and many other great great great players in that era.. dont know but a lots of Bulls-equipment was sold here and every kid had something, a jersey with shorts, training suits, even shoes... (not everything was original, many copies from China and Turkey 😅) everything with a CB logo was selling. We had even at that time live NBA on our national tv. It was a great time even we where under attack and where fighting the homeland war... maybe just becouse I was a kid then. Cheers to all Bulls fans Edit: not that we have no great bb clubs, cibona was high ranked in europe at that time but the nba was at that moment at the highest moment.
May I say that your Pink Panther was phenomenal for Bulls and the most important part for their 2nd 3peat run. Toni was nothing but a gracious unselfish team player who put the team first before his own stats. To be honest, MJ wasn't my idol. But Toni was and is still my idol til these days, because how he carried himself and how he persevered throughout those years with what was going on back in his country and in NBA were nothing short of remarkable. To me, Toni is my GOAT! And now I need Jugoplastika 7 and Bulls 7 jerseys..🤘🏀. I wished he deserved wayyyy more in NBA.
..of the best european players EVER.He was one of the guys that opened the doors of the NBA to the players all around the world, not to mention how more difficult was to play in those days than now.I never heard so much hate and bullshit form someone like I heard form you.Toni Kukoc won everything possible in the europe, olympics, world and european championships. He was the best European player numerous times, and, if there were justice,he should have been selected in the All star game at leat once.
In a perfect situation, had he not played 3rd string to MJ and Scottie, dude would have been Kevin Durant 1.0 - less agressive offensively, but a far better passer and playmaker - a 24/8/7 player. His best showings in the NBA were only glimpses of what he could have done, had he been born 10 years later (Dirk's ten years older)...
To any unknowledgable basketball fans that think it was MJ doing it all, here is more proof that those Bulls Title teams were loaded outside of MJ. Many games (big ones too) Kukoc single-handingly won the game while MJ just chilled and was like "Okay I will ride this great play of yours Kukoc." If Kukoc played almost anywhere else he would have been an all-star since he would have been the man more instead of behind MJ, Pippe, and Rodman.
If Kukoc wouldve been the #1 scoring option on any other team he would've averaged at least 25 ppg. Unfortunately he was the 3rd sometimes 4th scoring option on the Bulls.
MJ would make sure that never happen because he is an egoist and he would make sure everyone knows he's the GOAT. But yep, Toni had tons of skills and he would have been more well deserved if MJ never come back because the man was phenomenal.
this guy was out of his mind!!!the fact that in his rookie year ,when mj was resting,he had at least 5 game winners, sais it all!!!!vs orlando magic, pacers, bucks vs knicks at ecsf!!!and couple more 4sure!! next year michael came back and had the last shot all the time!! but the waitor was in another level ,in europe!!he and drazen were balling!!!and after years mitsaras diamantidis was THE BEST OF THE BEST !! he would dominate in the league!!we missed a hell of a player !!!
Majstor.
