I used VGM Music Maker and Defflemask for this album. It is fully compatible with Sega Genesis. But I used FL in almost all my other tracks.

Those programs are free. But they're kind of hard to use heheh. Well you have to learn the how to's and practice a lot to overcome that wall between your creativeness and the things done. I encourage you to find the program that best suits you, the one in which you feel comfortable and start learning music production on that platform. Go for it (:

Oh and don't worry too much about the programs and what sound you want, any modern DAW like FL, Live or Logic can all do everything. The sound you reach goes in what you do in there.
