I understand what you are saying. I don't think that certain genres of music would have survived if the bar was always that high, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it would be bad. While some genres base their talent on different variables, the more vocal genres to some extent, almost require you to be talented. While I don't expect every singer to leave me starstruck, I do think that many acts earn a certain merit that they don't deserve.
I was literally smiling for this entire video because Jenna's so so pretty and adorable but also because this is a great song :) but mostly because Jenna's pretty
Tonight alive is PopPunk. Paramore used to be PopPunk. Of course they both will be compared. Still these two are my favorite bands. I didn't like Paramore's new album but still it's older stuff is amazing.
+Flippin_Out_Fangirl I did that too.I talk to the band a lot through social media since their like my Bestfriends and now they're blowing up like crazy lmao
Jenna has such a powerful and amazing voice. I love when great voices come out of tiny female bodies. I just started listening to this band and I think they are amazing. I can't wait to get their debut album when it comes out on Valentine's Day and they are the only reason I want to go to Warped Tour this summer (besides Sick of Sarah).
I like Paramore I do. But seriously Tonight Alive is nothing like them. And the energy they bring to the concert is amazing. I have seen them twice. Once with SWS and PTV and the other time was at a warped tour where it poured! I mean I wanted to leave so early cause of the rain but i happened to walk by the domo tent and tonight alive came on and i stayed for them and they put me in such a good mood i stayed for like another 3 hours. but then my friend got sick so we left.
Can we give a moment of silence for the struggle of the guy in the blue shorts to ride that bike and his transistion to using a skateboard and to finally just running to catch up? He's like, "fuck it, i'm running." Hahahaha
New here and for myself but pop rock punk music will always be in my heart. Furthermore, have grown into the country pop rock realm as well I guess I love both realm of genres
Met these guys at Warped a few years back, and they were genuinely some of the coolest fucking people that I've met. They were all equally excited to be there and see all of the fans.
coming from the how does it feel music video to here is like listening and watching a different band. i really miss when they sounded like this, but i will always support them
yeah I noticed their new stuff is different, I like it, its just slower I think than the usual. & I love this song, this & Closer are my favs. also like Breakdown. Drive is pretty good, has a nice 90s vibe I thought lol
+frank loves gerard She said in a interview, they band felt that they had to go in a new direction and diverge from pop punk as part of growing up. I guess it makes sense.
Yes. It is setting the bar high. I think that in an industry that only requires you to be hot in order to be famous, the bar should be that high, to weed out the ones who only get by on looks. Don't get me wrong, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston were astronomically beautiful women in there hayday, but they had incredible talent to show that they weren't just a one trick pony.
+mark whexican Yeah man. She has this perfect balance where she doesn't run and hide from how gorgeous she is, but at the same time, she's nothing like those bimbos in pop music who are all about "omg stare at me I don't wear clothing," and she does it effortlessly. It doesn't hurt that she can actually sing. I do hope she grows her hair out long again though, because she's so much prettier with long hair (as are most girls). I haven't the slightest idea why she keeps it as short as she does.
Exactly, Evanescense, Paramore, Flyleaf, Blondie, Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac, The Pretty Reckless, Pat Benetar etc etc there's been loads of female-fronted bands :)
I am a massive paramore fan and tonight alive fan,but in this song they are nothing alike, just because there is a female fronted singer&a pop-punk/alternative band does not make them the same, the only song I would say they sound fairly similar is lonely girl xx
Guys the whole point in listening to music, is well... listening to music isn't it? Yeah we get the fact she's pretty but there is nearly always at least 1 good looking band member in most bands and they are good for their music not for their appearance.
jEduardoj3rd All i'm saying is I hate how people rate how good a band are just by the members appearances. And who knows some 'fat' or 'ugly' people may actually be very talented (:
jEduardoj3rd "Fat" isn't ugly. Unless they're rude. I'm not going to give you that "Beauty comes from the inside" lecture even though it's the truth. But it's not what they look like. Nobody wants to watch starving people performing either. And no, a "fat" person is in better condition than someone with anorexia. Bye bye dog.
