@Sabrina Klein not fot me, i guess. i felt him as the weakest performance compared to everyone else. the movie is wonderful overall, ansel for me was just ehhh.
@@valentinasisi yeahh i didn’t like ansel at all, he was just so bland and dull compared to all of the actual talent next to him. the fact that there’s allegations against him made it even worse
@@valentinasisi Ansel was the weakest in the film but that's also to be expected as he was the only actor without a strong theater background. that being said, I thought he was still above average considering the typical standard for movie musicals (I'm looking at you Emma Watson).
I saw Aaron in Moulin Rouge a couple of days ago & this was the first thing I thought of. If he was younger he would have been caused for sure. They could have found someone better than Ansel.
Aaron is 100% theatre gold. This is a tough song across the board. He made it look easy... and his performance in the Les Miserables movie is so kick ass.
I don't know who I envy more... Aaron Tveit for getting to sing with Laura Osnes or Laura Osnes for getting to sing with Aaron Tveit (edit: I made this comment before the Laura Osnes drama but icl her voice is super pretty)
@@cmlazar For a New Year's Eve special performance, Laura Osnes and Aaron Tveit are perfect in their roles, in their chemistry, and most of all, in the beauty of their singing.
Yes... the passion, combined with true talent. I'd sing opposite both, and kiss both. We'd be all alone in front of a full audience. They fully embraced the scene. Kudos!
That look that Laura gives at the end of the number is priceless. And by the way, as a New Yorker, I have to say, it's not a balcony, it's a fire escape lol.
MARIA Only you, you're the only thing I'll see forever In my eyes in my words and in everything I do Nothing else but you Ever TONY And there's nothing for me but Maria Every sight that I see is Maria MARIA Tony, Tony TONY Always you, every thought I'll ever know Everywhere I go you'll be TONY & MARIA All the world is only you and me MARIA Tonight, tonight It all began tonight I saw you and the world went away Tonight, tonight There's only you tonight What you are, what you do, what you say TONY Today, all day I had the feeling A miracle would happen I know now I was right TONY & MARIA For here you are And what was just a world is a star Tonight Tonight, tonight The world is full of light With suns and moons all over the place Tonight, tonight The world is wild and bright Going mad Shooting sparks into space Today, the world was just an address A place for me to live in No better than all right But here you are And what was just a world is a star Tonight Good night, good night Sleep well and when you dream Dream of me Tonight
I just finished watching One Royal Holiday! I cried watching them! Laura Osnes has a wonderful soubrette voice... These two should concertize West Side Story. As evident by this, perfect voices!
I just made my daughter's day during online summer school showing her a moment of this amazing clip. Love your videos, they keep Broadway alive in our hearts when we can't be there. Thank you, thank you!
Hearing Aaron and Laura sing together makes me wish One Royal Holiday on Hallmark was a musical to showcase their talents! Their chemistry is chef’s kiss!
Wow! So beautiful!! I was glued to this scene on the edge of my seat waiting for the crescendo and apex of the song and the unbelievably controlled quiet romantic ending..just about made me cry..so gorgeous delightful wonderful sophisticated..bravo!!!
@@Castilda0311 I was talking about Rachel Zegler who Aaron would've been playing opposite if he had been cast in the film like the original comment suggested.
@Aarontveit desculpe mais não sei falar e nem ler em inglês por isso não entendi o que foi que respondeu. De qualquer forma sou grande fã dos dois !!!! Abraços !!!
