Hey everyone, thank you so much for the support on this video, I’m so glad you’re all enjoying it. I’m also aware the music is too loud, I really do apologize for that, I honestly didn’t know it was that bad. I will definitely lower it in future videos, I appreciate the feedback.
What shocked me a little was them saying they will model all the large objects in world as best to their ability. Something like a million objects such as wind turbines, electrical towers, radio towers etc. Will make VFR flying so much better I was so glad they are doing this.
probably they mean unique models like empire state, so there no millions. wind turbines, electrical towers will not have many models, but unified. but if all cities will have custom modeled structures, that's would crazy good. same if all solar farms will placed in right areas. but more important it how good will looks earth stuff like trees, grass, animals, rivers and mountains. that was first cause why i start to forgot about other simulators, after watch first msfs2020 video. same happens now after i watched 2024 one.
These are "vertical obstructions," and they are documented, though not always consistently or accurately. Their commitment to representing them is great to see though. And they're adding them to FS2020 too, even.
Great to hear your passion for gliders, gliders teaches you skills you won't gain anywhere else. My aviation experience started with gliders in New Zealand, I'm now 30 years into a aviation career as a helicopter pilot. The most valuable skills I gained from gliders was mountain flying.
I don't get excited by many games these days but I'm definitely excited for MSFS 2024, it sounds like more of an upgrade than I expected! It's at the point where it's a world simulator now, and if we can get out of the plane and walk around then it will really make it feel immersive.
The only problem is that if we have hundreds and sometimes thousands of GBs chewed up with 2020, what are we going to do when 2024 comes out, delete 2020? Is this an in-place upgrade? If it's an in-place upgrade and won't double everything we will be ok, if it loads in an entirely different spot, it's going to consume all of our precious SSD drive space because 'are we willing to blow away 2020 before 2024 is installed?', I don't think so, too risky, it simply takes too long to get everything downloaded and re-installed if 2024 install goes wrong. Perhaps they have already addressed this and my worries are unfounded.
@@dabneyoffermein595 I was thinking about this yesterday, I don't think it will be an in-place upgrade. As you say what if it goes wrong or doesn't run well etc, it'll be a pain in the arse to re-download 2020 again. I think I'll uninstall and download 2024 and risk it, supposedly nearly every addon is compatible so it should be okay.
@@ft6755 The problem with that might be that they underestimate the amount of people wanting access all at the same time, and we get "Error, connection lost" or similar. Taking days and days to get 2024 (or even weeks). In the meantime, 2020 has been blown away (Obviously we have it backed up using Acronis or similar), but that's a chore to get restored because the registry has now been hi-jacked by the new unsuccessful 2024 abort. So basically requiring a brand new install of 2020, all updates run (will take forever), then restore of all the community mods and other folder structures. Also, add-on organizer will have to be dealt with too (which can be complex). I understand your approach, uninstall 2020 and hope that windows doesn't have remnants of it scattered in the registry, etc. Add-on products like ORBX, Parallel 42 and other install managers are tangled in the web as well. Thanks for your comment! We'll get through this together!
As to ships, I’m pretty sure they’ll just be displaying any vessel that’s broadcasting AIS, which is like ADSB for boats. Some smaller vessels do have AIS also as it’s a very useful tool. Popular with sailboats that cruise around as well. I know people with sailboats as small as 30’ broadcasting AIS, so I won’t be surprised if there’s a good variety of nautical activity represented. I just hope they do some basic model matching so my sailboat isn’t represented by the Titanic lol.
@@nexe7271 The outside model will be the same as they 3D scan the aircraft, so you cannot beat that, that's the most accurate model you can get. As per simulation, and systems that's another story.
I cant wait for FS2024 and the 5090! It is hard to believe that the Flight Sim has become this incredibly advanced and realistic. It was a major disappointment 15 years ago when MS pulled out of the flight sim market. But, 2020 was well worth the wait and this is only getting better!
Career Mode for me will mean as a Teenager going to Flying School getting your PPL first. Then you apply for contracts at Bush Flights somewhere in Africa or Other Destination building up your flying hours. Either flying tourists or Cargo between holiday destinations on the same continent. From a specific Flying Hours you can have many different Vacancies/Contracts you can sign with Airliners. As part of the requirements to fly for airliners is to have a certain amount of flying hours on a specific type of aircraft. Now that will be a decent Sim Experience as a Pilot in my humble opinion.
My apologies, I actually didn’t realize it was that loud, I will definitely turn it down at the very least cause I like having a little bit of background music during certain videos. I appreciate the feedback.
Well I’m always looking for ways to improve, if you don’t mind, would you mind telling me exactly what I’m doing wrong, cause I do care about getting everything right. As for a2a, I highly doubt they’ll make us pay again, they’re pretty conservative friendly.
@@RandomEd787 Use your EDM to monitor and optimize peak lean or peak rich for your desired cruise. Your boss would fire you for flying at 20GPH wearing out his Lycoming, lol. Beyond all that it adds to the immersion of this bird greatly. When I got my SEL I rented a Cherokee for $60 an hour WITH AVGAS< lol. I wish we could go back to those fuel prices.
@@Despiser25 ahh ok, I’ll have to look into that more. I have kept an eye on it in the past on longer flights. But I was just doing a quick 20 minute flight around my area, so I wasn’t too concerned about the fuel. I appreciate the feedback.
unfortunately, they are only adding cirrus clouds and some color gradient changes. They are not fixing the awful cotton candy clouds that started at the same time they started the XBOX early releases
