Which obviously means RAM is not your bottleneck. Having too little RAM will dramatically slow things down. Having just enough RAM will prevent that slow down. Having more than enough will not improve anything at all. That surplus RAM just sits there, empty. FS2020 doesn't occupy even 32 GB, so expecting 64 GB to improve anything is an expectation that never made sense. You could upgrade to 1024 GB and you'd see absolutely no difference. I know none of this helps you. Sorry bout that. You'll still have the stuttering. Just thought I'd mention it to improve understanding.
They explained during the talk that the tornadoes and major storm events would be exclusive to the single-player campaign mode. Though I'm hoping they add it to the open world later on.
Thanks for the dev stream recap, and take-aways. I'm particularly interested in the hot air balloons and blimps, as well as being able to walk about in the sim. I do hope we can actually exit one plane, and walk over to another that's parked, get in, and fly that one. :)
Thanks for the overview! If all the planes and airports from 2020 are kept, I guess I'll stick with the standard edition... Last question is if 2024 incorporates all the world updates from the getgo and if it's possible to maybe download 'some' areas so the reliance on stable internet isn't that bad...
So they do that in some places. That's why big cities will have accurate billboards, businesses, and even every tree and bush. The problem is that when you get into that, it's not just AI. It's taking the information from all these photos and making it out. It takes an insane amount of processing if you want to process all the information worldwide. It would cost an insane amount.
@@StatsGam4er There’s actually a group called flybywire that’s making the a380. It’s practically a study level aircraft. There’s videos about it, it looks insane.
Regarding Draco X: The "Kind of a badass" guy is Mike Patey. He took a Polish-made PZL-104 Wilga bushplane (which was already a pretty darn amazing plane [GotFriends made an exceptional one for FS2020]), took the radial engine off, stuck on a PT-6 turboprop, and did so many other things to it that turned the original Draco into the King of STOL. Sadly, the original Draco crashed...so Mike's finishing up Draco X, which will be even MORE powerful and badass.
Hey everyone, I was inaccurate on my reporting to you regarding premium deluxe airplanes that were also in 2020. I said you would have to repurchase them. This is incorrect, and I want to thank @MarioB87 for bringing that to my attention. If you already own these planes, they will carry over into the new sim.
The info is inaccurate. Any aircraft you own, either from any default version of sim 2020 or that you've purchased in or outside the market place will be carried over to 2024 free of charge. Only a select few won't be supported. 3rd party aircraft might need an update from the developer to take full of advantage of the new sim, but you won't have to buy them again.
I've been a big fan of MSFS since the very first one so my out look to this is, it's like everything else like going to a Harley dealership and buying that anniversary model you can't just buy the one year you have to buy every one that comes out every couple of years no matter what it's just a thing you need to add in your collection, just knowing you have it. As far as the airplanes me I'll fly all of them but in reality your always going to shoot for the cessna's and the regular commercial airliners.
Nah it’s not leaked, it was officially announced. And I’m really excited about the A330-300P2F, 737, supertanker, and many of the GA planes. And yes the supertanker is indeed a fire tanker. The max is obviously not PMDG level, but I heard that it’s close to study level. If you have all of the aviator planes purchased, you can export them, the aviator edition was made for those who never bought any of them. And I’m getting the Premium Deluxe Edition.
@@RandomEd787 …. That doesnt even make any sense. No one is going to crash a plane and spend $70 on another one. Something doesnt sound right with this
We're getting so much...and I hope that we get national/state borders on the world map. Make it an option that can be turned on and off. That sounds sensible, yes? That way, we can know exactly which country we're flying over, or what state we're in, without having to go to Google Maps.
This are some good features that will help to popularise sim amongst gamers. I also must point out as a hard core simmer of 25 years, carrear is not something most of us simmers are interestes in. Still being a main target group and one that according to jorge keeping the sim going, i do hope in fs2024 more attention will be payed to core sim stuff like flight model and most other essential to sim. This is a flight simulator above all else and has been for 40 years. Graphics are good enough at this point, we need to pay attention to other more important stuff. Also i am not agreeing with mandatory carrear and progression to unlock missions. Most of the simmers and irl pilots are way beyond that point. That should not be mandatory and user should be able to select if he wants that or not and have acsess to mission if they want it.
@@RandomEd787 Certanly hope so. We will have to wait and see when we get our hands on it. In any way this is a great adition to flight simulator family. I especialy like bush aspects of it. Fun times ahead. If i may sugest in order for you to develop your channel properly un this subject, to cover and balance between both game and sim aspects of the sim with understanding of both. You have my sub...
@@randomman5521 it’s frustrating, but I did just post it, and there’s a lot that goes into videos gaining traction. We’ll see what happens throughout the next few days. I got more videos coming.
Imagine, if you will, THIS trailer being the MSFS 2020 official release trailer, at E3 2019. Coming out of nowhere, with the whole Flight Sim community thinking that FSX was it.
Beware the goddamn launcher. The Steam and Xbox "games" are actually launchers that are packed full of bugs and glitches and for most people the download is so slow that it takes a COUPLE overnight downloads to get it all. This while the crappy launcher caused an error message and warning due to overheating my laptop, which is incredible considering the glacial pace of the download. When I finally fully downloaded, I was force-registered on Microsoft and my VERY FIRST attempt to launch got an error message that said I had violated their terms and services. Even in our Woke new age it's insane to get canceled between registration and first launch lol
