Kim Novac doesn't show up in this until about the 18 minute mark. This is mostly a rehash of Tony's life and career. This is about 19 minutes too long.
I agree - it is just CLICKBAIT - post a sensationalist scandalous type title to get viewers to watch the video - I voted it thumbs down. He was a brilliant actor but a horrible person - I believe Kim Novak - when Tony Curtis filmed "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe he said rotten things about her and said "It was like kissing Hitler" - probably Monroe refused to have sex with him so he decided to trash her and defame her.
RIP Mr Curtis, I met him coming out of a large hotel in Cannes France He was very nice and asked if we would like our photo with him, my girlfriend was so happy to get photo taken with him, it was just a brief moment, but he really was so nice.This was in 1975.

Because back in the 1950s - 1960s if an actress accused a huge star like Tony Curtis of rape, drugging her or even sexual harrassment her career would have been RUINED. Nobody would have supported Kim Novak. In the end she left Hollywood at the very peak of her career because she was fed up with the entertainment industry. She launched a career as a highly talented painter - her artwork is outstanding. She was an art major in college but left it to start modelling which led to acting.

Yes, I did read somewhere how Tony Curtis was instrumental in behaving badly with Kim Novak. She was invited to his and Janet Leigh's house for some party back in the 50's. She had no recollection of what transpired at that party. All she recalls is finding herself nude in one of the guest rooms when she awoke. Obviously, someone spiked her drink, after which she collapsed. This being Curtis' home, naturally the finger of suspicion pointed towards him.
Right, but such an accusation is speculation. If there were other people there she can't accuse him. She's assuming, not knowing. I'm sure she's still angry about the situation, and probably at herself as well for attending such a party.

I think it was probably someone else at the party with bad intentions, not Tony. Especially with his wife present at the time. I just don't see that happening and she doesn't even speculate on if she was assaulted or not. Are we supposed to fill in the blanks or did nothing else happen. If she wasn't molested, then she herself could have taken off her clothes in a drunken state and not remembered doing it. Lots of people who drink do weird things such as sleepwalk or wake up in a neighbor's house thinking it was their own.
Kim Novak has every right to talk about this situation. It was his house. Worst case scenario he did this. Best case scenario he had someone in his house who was dangerous. Not okay. Slipping someone a mickey in a drink can be a very deadly thing. Not a joke.
We don't know any of these people, how can anyone judge? We have no idea what they were like in private. Best left to the people who knew and know instead of total strangers.
I first saw him when I was 10 years old. I am now 72 yrs. old. He was in a movie that he was a young solider riding a train with his uniform, dark hair and stunningly beautiful blue eyes. He was breathtaking. I love being entertained by the actors but find their person trash disturbing,

He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his service. The citation is on the wall of my home office. It was signed by Lt. General Roy S. Geiger. I am also a Marine, who served in Vietnam. My eldest son is a Marine, as well. He served in Fallujah, Iraq , during that conflict. My opinion is that those who criticize the actors who did not go to war are not themselves warriors and never served or risked their necks. This is no offense to you, but to previous commenters. Kim Novak has a right to express her experiences. I wish that these cases would be addressed while both parties are alive and can pursue litigation; unfortunately, in traumatic sexual abuse/ assault cases, it may be emotionally impossible for victims to come forward in a timely manner under the law as currently established; however these “statutes of limitations” need revision. We do not know the legal truth, but Ms. Novak has every right to tell her story. It is up to you (the reader/ listener) whether you choose to believe her or not. Sexual abuse/assault must be stopped and victims adequately compensated and abusers punished to the full extent of the law
@@grantkruse1812 I covered crime for a major newspaper for many years. The number of fabricated stories was not small. And the fact that states' attorneys don't want to prosecute women who make up stories - not all women, of course - with filing a false police report/disorderly conduct, only encouraged women to settle the score with a guy who left them, cover up their own complicity in an affair, or go after someone with a name or just to get attention. States attorneys are elected and they have to cater to the women's vote. It's easier to let the bad actors off the hook then to chance losing any votes.

For one with no proof they get no where and for some they fear looking like a fool for being dupped like that by some man. If she said it it is true. He never had a good reputation to begin with. As far as Kim Novak's accusation, Hollywood has always been a vicious place. And she really just seemed to drop out of the movie business even when she was - as an agent would say - very bankable As far as the Metoo movement, on the one hand I think of how difficult that would be to bring an accusation to someone with an international following and movie studios wanting to keep their investment. That's what "fixers" were for during the studio system through the 1950s. On the other hand I think of how hypocritical virtually everyone is in that industry. How many knew about Harvey Weinstein and said nothing? On the other hand I've always thought to there were a small minority of women who use the movement for blackmail. Any male studio head who interviews a young female star or starlet without a another female in attendance is either looking for trouble or foolish The fact that she just disappeared from Hollywood lends credence to her accusation By the way she lived in Big Sur for years And you all know that her house in Oregon burned and she lost most of her Hollywood Momentos?
Kim Novak was good in a few of her early films especially Hitchcock's Vertigo . Not so sure about Curtis and Marilyn having an affair , I thought he barely tolerated her in Some Like it Hot . Curtis was a great actor in his early films but came across as a sleazeball in the Persuaders with Roger Moore . It's very difficult to know the truth and who is telling the truth . The party that Novak went to was given by Curtis and his wife so would he really have fooled around with Janet there . We don't know who else was at the party and her drink could have been spiked by anyone .
Kim Novak didn't have to be an extrodinary actress.Her just being there with her beauty was more than renough to gasp! Naturally beautiful.I hope she can have something done to correct her present look,& the surgery mistake.
I liked him as a actor but Tony was not a "devoted father " ever, even his kids who still loved him would agree with that, Tony Loved being Tony Curtis, more than anything, even his children, and wives, and that meant everything else took a back seat. yes he loved his children in his own way, but they had to compete with his love of being Tony Curtis. Tony loved performing and acclaim and those things were central to his life. Through them he transcended the poverty, suffering, and tragedy of his early years.

It could well be, that he spiked her drink with vodka in order to improve his odds in the bedroom later on. She was at his party so ' caveat emptor' applies as he cannot be held responsible for the quantity of alcohol she consumes to relax at social occasions. Dulling the senses to lessen one's inhibitions via the effect's of alcohol is like playing with fire. She was perhaps the top Hollywood sex-goddess at the time, but we are only guessing as to whether he thought she was worth the effort when his strike rate, cold sober, was 50 - 50. About 50 years ago a little bird spilled the beans on sex by saying to me ' Guys don't realize that we like sex as much as them'.
Curtis could have sex with thousands of willing and beautiful women without breaking the law and putting anything in their drink. It is ridiculous to believe that Curtis would risk his career and freedom to commit a serious crime against a co-worker. Memories change with the passage of time and are quite malleable and cannot/should not be trusted. Certainly she would have reported him to many other people at the time if this had actually happened.

Kim Novak was amazing, had an amazing career and I do believe her, she had lots of emotional issues that were helped apparently by marrying a veterinarian and working with animals. I am glad she survived. Kim Novak should have left the dead with the dead and the past in the past. We have no proof of what she alleges and she is not leaving Tony Curtis in peace post mortem. She is living her life the way she wants. Whatever happened did not have a long lasting damage in her life. As for Curtis, he should not have left all his fortune to his wife. He should have thought about his children.
