Tony finds out Jimmy is a Rat 🐀 | Part 1 | The Sopranos
Season 1 Episode 11 Nobody Knows Anything
The Sopranos is an American crime drama television series created by David Chase. The series revolves around Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), a New Jersey-based Italian-American mobster who struggles to balance his family life with his role as the leader of a criminal organization, which he reluctantly explores during therapy sessions with psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine Bracco). The series also features Tony's various family members, Mafia colleagues, and rivals in prominent roles-most notably his wife Carmela (Edie Falco) and his protégé and distant cousin Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli).

I’m sure in real life they had some sort of protocol if a valuable guy got pinched and it was either the slammer or being an informant for him. While tony, johnny etc are portrayed as being intelligent in the show they’re still shown as being goons. I’m sure that real life crime leaders are hardly goons in that same way.

Tony was a sharp dude, just from experiencing so much backstabbing. This was a great show, rest in peace James Gandalfini.

Jimmy's over the top attempt to entrap Tony seemed silly and unrealistic. The writers didn't need to dumb it down so much for the viewers.

just like his old man, tony is really good at “vibing” people out. jimmy was up to something, and he picked it up.

Is that why Tony gives such a big hug at the beginning? Checking for a wire?

Realease was a useful tool by police.. but this is quite accurate - if a suspect is released vs held in...on a serious offence, there has been a deal.. happens all the time.

Yeah, this was juicy too. Jimmy was capo #1 and Tony was capo #2. This hit would mean a bump for Tony, which he sure as hell got.

Whats missed is when Tony hugs him, he kinda positions his body away so that Tony dont feel his wire.

This is what happens when you put all your money in track suits and Cadillacs, you don't have any set aside to run away even if you were smart enough to know you just set yourself up to be whacked.

The thing that flew above everybody's head is that all these mobsters are complete morons, and it's why everything just crumbles down around Tony whether he likes it or not. No wonder he's so stressed out, he goes to therapy.

I would love to sit in the chair that keeps spinning just to see what happens. I have sleep paralysis and nightmares, 2 nights ago i had closed eye visuals of a kinda groot shaped thing that crept up to me and started biting my shoulder violently, didnr hurt but a weird electric feeling made me freak out and was swatting at it lol
