Thanks Tony for everything you've done for the sport & kids all over. Those of us that skateboarded in the late 80's & early 90's for the most part had no where to skate except the streets would have loved to have all the skateparks available now.
As a 12 year old in 1990 in Michigan (45 min from detroit) my friends and I used to go looking for anything to skate, a state park would of been amazing. I only had a couple friends with half pipes in their backyard.
if you being serious.and really want it to happen, make it happen. its actually pretty easy. heres what you do. start with your idea, basiacally do all the thinking for the city. figure out where, a design, how much it will cost to build and maintain. maybe even come up with a few designs and offer to get a small crew together to do he build. than go to the skate park and other places and get 100 people to sign a petition to build the fingerboard park. than you go to a city hall meeting and present your plan and petition to the city memebers. dont be down on yourself, even if they vote no, you can always try to make some changes tot he plan and try again. maybe even talk to some of the board members and ask what you might be able to do to make it happen. when i started to skate, my town had no skateparks. we now have 3.
Nice!!! Now that's a new anchor and supportive team I'll watch anyday on TV/YT! I remember Victor from the skate park opening day video that he rode through in his suit. Legendary skate reporter now! What a build up of a resume now getting to cover Tony and skate with him. Genuinely love it!! Can't wait for a new park to come to me next.
@@KenShiro23-t1t too much skater haters. All skaters are homeless couch surfers. You make no money and skaters are criminals not because they skate but they are poor and they turn into a liberal extremes
You never hear about pro skaters using their platform to invest in mental health services for the skate community or promote the use of helmets to the younger generations. That would be more impressive than investing in skateparks while promoting your brand.
