[1:01:01] Rewatching old videos, came across this one. Andy makes a brief comment about a Disney podcast and almost two years later he does and it is surprisingly good considering the topic: Disney original movies 🥰
bought it, absolutely suck at it... Remember pulling off 200k+ combos in THPS2, now pulling off flip off a grind seems impossible. And I know it's not the game, because it feels and plays great. Never felt so old before :P
Loved watching this afterward. It was like a hangout session with you guys, just like I thought it would be when you played the demo of this game on the channel before. I'd love to see you two play more chilled-out games like this!
After watching this I feel an unstoppable need to drink a bubblegum flavoured Rockstar energy drink, buy two longsleeve tees for £20 from Two Seasons and stick one finger up to the establishment.
@@ApesWithEgos Hm. Andy and Mike's respective looks are now candidates for my official head-canon for Plant Nutrition Boy and Smash Blue Whale, respectively. Thanks for the idea, and apologies to Luke.
My two month old was watching this with me while drinking from her bottle, so when she stopped i figured she was done and took it away. She cried - apparently she was just so taken with tony hawk pro skater she forgot to eat. 😹
Agent Venom was when Flash Thompson had the symbiote for a while, working for the government, using guns and the suit as like a military thing (right before they went back to like original recipe Venom recently, and did a giant Symbiote Event called Absolute Carnage that spanned all Marvel books basically), it had some good tales. Also Sunshine is better than Galaxy, don't @ me.
Andy and Mike: listing Disney Channel original movies. Me: waiting for them to say Descendants😆 Great game. I might pick it up. I used to play pro skater 3 at a friend’s house and I it was great so we’ll see.
I know the explanation for why Venom has the Spidey eyes. The symbiote takes on characteristics of its first host--which was Peter Parker in full Spidey costume. Even after parker rejected it and it found another host, it kept the physical characteristics of its initial host.
What's a gap? And how can you say you haven't gotten all of them and also say you 100% the game? No snark intended, I've never played either the new or old versions
@@subman23 no worries! Games were a little different back then. They didn't include getting all achievements and of the like back then. The game doesn't look at 100% as doing all of the extra little things too, it looks at 100% as completing all of the main goals and getting the main collectibles, which can get confusing. Lol. But an example of a "gap" would be going from one ramp to another and receiving bonus points in the combo for that action. That "bonus" would be a "gap". There are many of them throughout all of the levels. I hope that helps!
So this is part true story, part urban legend from my childhood... but the Burnside level in THPS 1 is based on the real Burnside Skatepark underneath the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon. The skatepark itself has a fascinating history that's totally worth looking into btw (I actually know one of the guys who snuck in and poured the concrete), I'm pretty sure there's a documentary. Anyway, I spent a lot of my childhood in Portland, and like many kids of that era, I pretended to skateboard. I was absolutely terrible, but that didn't stop me from taking a bus at the tender age of 12 to hang out at Burnside. As you might expect of a famous skatepark, it was frequented by some incredible skaters, including some of the pros featured in THPS occasionally. Also, as you might expect from it being literally UNDER A BRIDGE, it was not the best place for a child, much less a poser child like myself. As for the urban legend bit, there was a homeless gentleman who often slept in one of the bowls at Burnside, and I was told multiple times that he was the "real" Ollie the Magic Bum (man... hard to believe including that character was considered okay back then). There was definitely a resemblance, and people called him Ollie, but it's hard to know if he was actually the inspiration for the character, or if the character led to people calling him Ollie. Anyway, I was sitting on top of one of the massive quarterpipes one day (not actually skating, obviously) and he snuck up behind me and tickled my ribs for a second. I whipped around and he looked me dead in the face and said "You gotta keep your wits about you kid... there are some crazies around here". I quit pretending to skateboard that day, and didn't go back to Burnside as a spectator for almost a decade.
I played a lot of theme hospital back in the days, and I was really excited for Two Poiny. But I have to admit I was sceptical. However, I liked what I saw with Jane! So I bought the game wity all the DLC and I'm happy I did! These let's play vids are great for us, if we're not sure if we want to buy a game.
My only experience with the THPS series is Disney Extreme Skate Adventure, I know that game's combo system is broken because you can mash the grind button during a grind or grab to change which trick you were using, and each change counted as a new trick. Blew all of the game's score challenges out of the water.
Mike, that is not a lake, it is New York harbor, if that level is set in Manhattan's Battery, the upper bay. I'm former Coast Guard Vessel Traffic NY. Edit: Figured I would add military background to clarify.
Best Mass Effect companions as skateboarders? Best female companion would be Jack/Subject Zero, followed closely by Tali and Kasumi Goto. Best male companion? I'd have to say Thane. He would absolutely dominate all the other male companions at skateboarding.
Andy you got to use reverts it's a extra multiplier! You can infinite string a half pipe with revert into manual, Iv not played this new one but I used to play horse with my friends and set scores of 6 million lol
They were bad mouthing the pipe and I could not believe it. I would crush my brother routinely using the half pipe and reverts while he was grinding in circles.
@@fatzmcgee That was my thought to I was horrible at grinding, but put me in the half pipe and I would kill. Different strokes for different folks I guess. You don't need a damn line in a level. You just need a halfpipe lol
Listen to them talk about ben from forza is like listening to you best friend talking a mutual friend "hes a dick and no one likes him, he gave you keys to a supercar!" Like... "yeah... what a monster?"
Yes....erm totally gnarley, dude. Yeah! Rad to the max. Do a 180 and an Ollie and get concussion falling off a rail while trying to slide down it. Yeah, to the max
Why was the game play video of this done by Mike when by a country mile Andy easily was the better player... Gameplay footage should be from the one who excels the most at that genre...
