No one has yet to mention Tony Kawk, so I will. It says Tony Kawk at the end. Whenever I'm playing these games and I can't beat a goal, I'm using Tony Kawk as an insult to the game to help my frustration.
Just bought the remake on PS4. I muted the entire game and just connected this to my Bluetooth speaker. It felt like summer of 2000 for me again😭. I want my childhood and good times back!!

I did not even really played other Parks/Maps, I just replayed the first map of the game over and over. To see how high points i could get x). And the only time i played it was at night when i wanted to relax. Also it got me into skateboard for a little while, And made Metal my number 1# music genre. God i loved that game

I heard these songs a fuckzillion times back in the day, and I never got tired of hearing them. Even now in 2018 they were still popping into my head from time to time. That's when you know you've put together some damn good music.
My Nintendo 64 didn’t have sound, because the red and white composite cables were broken and my parents refused to buy me a new set of cables. I guess this is what I missed out on and never knew. 😢
+WashingtonMonster86 demo was amazing. remember the first time i played it my friend brought it over my house one night. only one 2 minute round, and after that you had to reset the playstation to play again. still did it for hours

My gym sessions are filled with these songs. Can't get enough of them! That and Tony Hawk 2 soundtrack. Pure gold and gets me pumped. So if anyone is hitting the gym, give it a try!

Born in 1993, now 22. Use to play this game back in the 90s with my cousin for hours. Crazy how music can make you remember so much that you thought you had forgotten forever. Wish I could go back to one of those days where everything was easier. When things were simple. When people actually had conversations with each other instead of being on their smartphone. dude, I just turned 30, and playing the game again, (the remastered version), hit me right in the nostalgia. Even though it looks different, it looks just as I thought it would look when I was younger. even though the graphics don’t hold up that well now, (for the original version), we all thought it looked good when we were kids. Now that will be this generation with the remaster. If anyone from this generation actually plays it.
I was nine when the game was released. I got it a couple months later for Christmas. My birthday is July 3rd. So middle of the year. Got the play station. Once thps came out. Every Christmas after we always got a new one. We had cousins who loved skating more than we did. I played every single one. Up to project 8. After that I grew up and lost my want to play. Let's bring it back. Old school though. None of that Skate crap. #bringbackthps
do you want to know what I wish I knew back then? I read from a different comment section in a THPS video, that you could use the original PlayStation version of THPS1 and play it like an actual CD if you popped it into a CD player. If I knew that back then, I would’ve been playing the hell out of it. I loved every track on the OST. Still do.
This game shaped my life completely. Got me into skateboarding, which I did religiously between 2003-2010 and still every now and then. Almost introduced me to so much amazing music between the first 4 Tony Hawk games. Forever grateful to be introduced to PRIMUS from this game!
I had this for the N64 and never bought a save pack, so every time i played i had to start from the first level. I NEVER got mad at that because i loved playing and would just beat the game every time i turned it on. OH and i'd also jam out to the soundtrack:)

It´s kind awesome, when you hear this soundtrack years after you´ve played THPS, it all comes back...childhood, feelings and emotions you´ve had when you was a teenager :D sitting back on your lousy couch with your friends around, when weather was too bad for skating.
not all the tracks made it sadly due to licensing issues, but most of it is in. Same with the THPS2 songs. Although I will say, the newly added songs aren’t that bad. (Even with the exception of the rap songs added).
@@ultramario4309 Yeah, you are correct. I looked again, and all but 1 song from THPS1 is missing. And then 3 from THPS2. Or maybe it’s two from two, and one from one. I know for sure three tracks are missing. I would have to look again, but I’m pretty sure I’m right this time. I think it is 2 from 2, and 1 from 1.

I was 14 when this came out. My mom gave this to me as a Christmas gift. To this day I don’t believe I’ve been more happy with a gift. The Soundtrack literally helped shape my musical taste.

Tbh the smartphone is one of the most incredible inventions, it's just that most parents can't raise kids for shit and take the low effort way of handing them a phone and then doing a surprised Pikachu when the kids get hooked on shitty apps :D
I come here from the future to say that I recently turned 30, and hearing all these songs again makes me feel old. So yeah… I know the feeling. Played this back when it first came out in 99 when I was only eight years old. First experience was on the demo disc from Pizza Hut, and then a few months or so later, my uncle bought the actual game, and I played the hell out of it every time he came over. playing it again all these years later as Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater 1+2, it just hits me right in the nostalgia.
Late 90's/early 2000 era of skateboarding was so memorable. I remember going to the skate park with my brother, big names were coming out, watching very painful skating videos, pacsun (pacifc sunwear), etnies, miller's outpost, camo pants, thermals you wear under a print tshirt.............also around the same time WWF was in the prime!!! Lita, Hardy Boys, Benoit, Chyna, Mankind, NWO, The Game (Triple H)!!! I miss those days! Take me back!!!

I use to play this with my 2 big cousins all the time the whole sound track takes me back to when I was a kid, it really puts a big smile on my face and also some tears.. Rip to both my cousins they were brothers.. Every time i listen to this i can still feel them next to me like it was yesterday.. 💔 💔
I wonder how the soundtrack was chosen for this game. May seem like an simple odd question with a simple answer of it being randomly selected, but I like to think that perhaps each skater was called to choose a favorite song of theirs to have placed in the video game, seeing as how there's 10 skaters to play as (not including Officer Dick and Private Carrera) and only 10 songs.
I just watched the doc on the making of the game and they did ask each of the skaters to pick some songs they really liked and then they went to the bands to see what songs from the list they could get for the game
@Jim The Boomer Cool, Jim! Thanks for sharing! I'm just now revisiting this game and soundtrack for the first time in many years. We wore this game completely out. It was released the year I graduated (1999) and will always hold a special place in my heart.
I close my eyes and go back to the summer holidays of the year 2000 playing this game with my brother and cousin for hours, at that time I was not 12 years old but how I loved the music of this game.
THPS introduced me to Primus as a young child. 33 Years old now and i can't thank those involved enough for putting this soundtrack together. I was an 8th grader who listened to pop songs & thought Britney Spear's "Oops i did it again" was "fun to listen to". Then they hit me with genre's of music i never heard of. And Goldfingerrrrrrr! This playlist pulled me into these genres better than the music my friends at the time were showing me.
Fuck man, I remember playing this with my dad. :') pure fucking nostalgia dudes. He's a pos now and don't even know where he's at but oh well. Loved this game :)
