Rune Gilfberg can go to hell for his challenge. It took me years later to finish it because I couldn't get enough air for the eggplant on the cellblock roof.
I like how Rodney Mullen's pro challenge is given out by Tony Hawk, a nice reference to the real-life friendship and their time spent in the Bones Brigade.
Bams was the hardest IMO. So fuckin fast. I remember getting it after 3 hours of blood, sweat and tears, then jumping around the room. I quickly settled down so the Disc wouldn't skip with all the celebrating! Cos fuck, if if the game froze after doing that....my PS2 might have gone out my top bedroom window (me following)
It was also my first PS2 game along with a couple of other games but it was my favorite PS2 game out of the bunch when I got my PS2. This game was very revolutionary to me. :)
It was 2003 and I was engine cadet on a VLCC. The MT Osprey. The 4th engineer had brought his Xbox with this game. We played it obsessively and I remember doing all these Pro skater challenges. I ripped Dr Dre 2001 and NWA and Eminem to his system. It was a great trip to sea. ❤️
@@joobthebooblol there's no need to use boneless. Everything you need to do is to get a full special meter. After that you can easily make all the gaps with ollie bacause with full special meter you move faster and jump higher and longer
Watching this video makes them look so easy, but It took me my whole summer holiday in 2003 to finish most of the pro challenges. The Rune Glifberg, Bucky Lasek, and Bam Margera goals were the hardest.
Just did the Glifberg one in Alcatraz. You need speed, special and boneless (up+up+ollie) to get the third one. I found it helped to just spam Up when approaching the end of the bowl and then just keep pressing Up to do the lip trick. Without the spamming part I would just get it occassionaly. Also remember NOT to hold down X (ollie) when doing the boneless. Kind of a hard habit to break at least for me. Make sure to get consistent with this because you will need the extra time for the rest of the challenge. The last one seems to be broken. What worked for me was doing the special trick on the guy at the very top of the water tower, some other random lip trick and then the special trick again in the same combo for it to work. Hold for what seems like just a random amount of time and land it. The Burnquist one in the Zoo is also quite difficult. You need to time it correctly and release X (ollie) at the right time to get enough air for the special tricks. The right time might be a bit further from the edge than you might expect. Please leave a like so other people won't have to suffer as much as I did
@@g.722 For the Bobby Burnquist pro challenge in the Zoo press DOWN right before landing the Samba Flip. That will slow the character down long enough for the animation to finish.
Everybody here talking about the boneless jump 😭 this was my favorite game when I was a kid hands down all I would do is go to the college dorms and keep fucking with the one grind challenge there or watever that was it!!! Loved it
I've noticed that as well, it's weird that they got permission for his likeness but he didn't do the voice work. Same thing for Andrew Reynolds in Skate 3.
Benedict Gameplays Yeah! Lots of people still play everyday. Plus having access to every single Tony Hawk level ever made is simply awesome. Here is a guide to setting up if you need. :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3oZUfObQ1ys.html
Bam Margera's Challenge: FUCK I CRASHED INTO THE GOD DAMN WALL AGAIN Andrew Reynolds' Challenge: uhh fuckin gap over some shit or somethin i don't care.
Stary Twuj it took me a while but I managed to do them back in the day. The worst I hate is how u had to do a boneless jump to get extra air for alot of them and no one tells u about it.
Lmaoooooooo it’s like once they got done with the skaters they went “oh shit what about atiba? Ah just get someone that sounds like him they won’t notice”
@@BenedictPlays Right?! I feel like I would have never gotten this if I didnt just get frustrated and looked it up. I had all 7 other tricks down in one go, that's how much I played this stupid challenge to figure out the last one.
I love all of Tony Hawk Video games growing up I played Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 back in day in the 2000s I got love comment from creator Tony Hawk games and founder of Neversoft Entertainment Mick West on Twitter I was saying thanks for the memories.
My advice on the Custom Skater one: 1. Buy and turn on Slowmo mode. Holy shit it makes it 20x easier, I found out I had it minutes after completing it normally I was so pissed 2. Turn the fucking sound effects off in the sound menu, the obnoxious distractions is a big reason it's so fucking hard 3. use manuals (particularly after the QP turnaround) to rest the rail balance bar 4. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT DAMN STAIR RAIL AT THE END, that and the location of the last detonator is a combo killer.
So um Tony Hawk and doing the college level. When I display the challenges I got the last one missing and it’s saying locked. I can’t find the last red arrow.
@@BenedictPlays oh no bro not to suffer but you make some famous legend skater You know Riley Hawk is going to pro Even nyjah huston gold medal x games shanghai
