Split generation ports were a norm for a while when generations had drastic differences. Now for some reason we get a Skyrim remaster and The last of Us remastered every console generation

There's a site called RetroAchievements that's been adding cheevos to games since 2013. PCSX2, Duckstation and Retroarch all have support. They don't have every game, but there are a ton and new sets get developed constantly.

I plan on doing that one with the rest of the Konami ps2 action sports series. There's one other skateboarding game, and three snowboarding games that all go together

@@RedBerylFTW the game has some interesting ideas, but the controls can take some time to get used to imo. It feels like a realistic take on Tony Hawk controls with some differences

I mean, shell of its former self is a huge stretch. I played the game, the majority of things are there. I also don't remember purposely using the grind slam for anything tbh. The game itself played fundamentally the same with a different special trick system.

@@RedBerylFTW I absolutely see your thought process and agree that a majority of things are there. I don't think that saying the game is shell of it's former self is a stretch because it really is just so different, phoned in and rushed. The special meter difference aside, level design in the previous games had purposeful flow, create-a-skater was fully customizable and not just "choose between different heads and body choices" and 2 months before the game released, they added a a cel shade to the entire game after complaints that the game looked old. Those are just a few in a wide array of changes. If you have some time, I highly recommend this video by a long time fan Flippy. @@brytonrobinson That's the same flippy who lied and said there were only 10 goals to play per level constant. I really don't like that video. If you go watch my Pro Skater 5 video, you'll hear me say that I feel like I've been lied to. That video is one of the biggest reasons why I feel that way.

Yah my brother ordered the game, not knowing he wouldn't be able to play it due to region issues. I kinda laugh when I think of it now.

I haven't played the 64/ps1 ports of 3 but this makes me want to go look at them

PS2 version of Alcatraz was remade in American Sk8land for DS. Also, 1-3 don't have career free skate, so those could be fit into classic mode. THPS 4 would have needed a complete remake by itself for it to make sense, and the series was pretty much dead before that could happen.

@@CarlZeissTotal thug 2 looked horrible. That was a huge disappointment for me. I’m one who enjoys good gameplay and graphics.. we can even throw tony hawk 2x as a better looking game
