I remember when this game came out. After school calling up a friend to come over, getting a pizza with pepsi, playing this game until 4am. Was a good childhood.
Haha I remember scanning my face and being convinced it looked “just like me” I watch this now and realize everyone’s character basically looked the same 😂😂
I remember my friend and I put on the perfect grind cheat and went to see Napolean Dynamite in theaters. We left the character grinding on this level for like 4 hours just to see how many points it would rack up
I have a very specific favorite memory of this game. Hanging out with my cousin all weekend when it came out, I was 14 at the time, Freshman year of highschool. I specifically remember playing this level and hearing NOFX "Separation of Church and Skate" and having Kiss "rock and roll all nite" kick on right when you had to find your way up onto the roof.
Oh man, you give me so much nostalgia playing this now! I feel 15 again. I completely forgot about that plane conversation and I was taken back to my first night playing this. Time to buy this and shred again I think :))
@@triznathaniel122 How's that game collection going? I bought a used PS2. Bought LOTR: Return of The King, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, and now transitioning into replaying the Fable trilogy on Xbox360 and the Tony hawk games!
Man I remember that game. It was my childhood game :) I remember when I played that game on my PS2. Sadly my game have too many scratches so I can't use it anymore
“Nothing says aloha like getting lei’d” I can’t believe I missed that joke when I was a kid LOL. god I miss this game! I hate those moments where games just randomly stop working :(
i think it was supposed to be that he cut out your heli jump from the video altogether. after you show him your secret spot he goes and clears the gap himself without any helicopter but it's still big enough to get him the pro spot..
Even seeing it now it still amazes me how big the game is and how each map felt different and fresh each one. There will never be a game like thugs 1 and 2. I’m gunna buy a ps2 just to play them and American wasteland
@@BenedictPlays Thats an understatement :D I cant do 1Million Point Combos without using the Run out time and you just make them casually. You are definetly a Pro ^^
God damn, that stupid Wallows section (the one where you have to beat Eric's score, not the other one)... Even now I still have trouble with that mission.
i remember the graphics being better i also remember when i first scored a billion points, it took a long time but boi was it worth it, i wish i had a screenshot of it
Watching your play through brings the nostalgia back, but its actually sad how high quality games of the past were and how shitty quality the games are today. I wish they remastered this for consoles as I don't play on pc. Great gameplay though!
I remember making custom tricks adding so much of them it made my character do a cannonball but the board was doing a varial mctwist I wish I could replicate that with this game again
I theorize that Eric didn't photo shop your character's video part but instead aired over to the wavy roof hotel and captured that as his video part. Cause the other pro never said anything about Eric doing a Mctwist over a helicopter but instead that he air transferred roof to roof 40 stories up. Eric just never gave your video footage to the team at the event and he stole your spot. Don't get me wrong Eric was a good skateboarder so I don't understand why he tried ruin your character's career.
I played this map for hours on New Year's Eve in either 03 or 04. Why does that feel like just a few years ago? I'm going to play it again this New Year's Eve. Time is crazy.
I wish you actually got to see the videos that your team makes (aside from the helicopter one). Many of the goals you do in San Diego, Hawaii, and Vancouver are to get "footage" for videos.
yeah i used to try and speed run this game as a kid, the fastest I ever beat it was 57 minutes. It's been well over 10 years since I've tried it though.
I don’t think I have ever hated an antagonist more than I hated Eric Sparrow. There is no movie, tv show, or book that has a character more loathesome and treacherous than him.
